We were approached on the lot by Mike Amarando. At the very minute that he greeted us, I knew this was a different kind of dealership. At my old dealership, all the salespeople were on the front step, dr very minute that he greeted us, I knew this was a different kind of dealership. At my old dealership, all the salespeople were on the front step, dressed casually and smoking, just lurking and waiting for customers. Walking thru the group of them, I felt very uncomfortable and later being approached by some "slick" man, addressing me as "hon" really didn't make my day. At Lester Glen, there was none of that...all the salespeople wore a company shirt and khaki pants...not a smoker in sight, nor an ash can. He was friendly, knowledgeable and right to the point, but not aggressive or pushy. We didn't know if we were really going to buy a car that day, but we were prepared to, if things went well. My goal was to replace my beloved PT Cruiser, in size and in amenities...it was 11 years old and to me the interior was the most beautiful car that I had ever owned. I asked him to park a Encore next to my Cruiser so that I could compare size. He then proceeded to tell us all about the Encore. When I said we had to leave for a doctor's appointment, but would like to come back later in the day, I offered a deposit for the car so it wouldn't be sold to anyone else before we returned. In turn, he asked me for my car keys, telling me that I could take the Encore to the doctor and come back later...drive it to see if I really liked it, he said. I explained that my doctor was in East Allenhurst, not right around the corner...and he said he didn't care how many miles I put on the car...I had to drive it to know that I liked it enough to buy it. Well, my husband and I both liked the Encore very much and we came back and bought the car. Financially, I didn't have the money in my checking account to cover the deposit we wanted to pay...he told me to write a check and he would hold it for one week, that I should go home and move the money where I needed to. We walked out of Lester Glen with a brand new car, leaving an 11 year old PT Cruiser and a bad check. I've gone to the bank...the check is covered, I am enjoying my beautiful new Encore....correctly named, as it truly is an "encore" to my Cruiser...with more bells and whistles than I could have imagined and just as beautiful inside and out. My husband and I were very pleased with the 'no pressure' way Mike did business. I have already recommended Lester Glen to everyone who has seen my new car and in turn have learned that some of those people already knew of and had dealt with them before and they agreed that it was a pleasure doing business with them and that their service department was also very good and just as easy to deal with. Thanks Mike, we enjoyed meeting you and doing business with you...I love my new car! More
This was by far the best experience I have had buying a car. I know where I will be going from now on and have all ready recommended it to anyone I know thinking about car shopping. They are a family friendly dealership and I have always been treated like family, from Stan K. on down. My salesman, Mike, was so patient and explained everything to me. In fact, the day I purchased my 2013 GMC Terrain Dinali, I had to go to Deborah Heart Hosp. for a doctor visit and he waited until I got back to bring my check to purchase the vehicle.
