Let me begin by saying that I am very happy with the car we purchased and our "initial" contact with the dealership. Unfortunately, after this is where things went down hill. Contact went back and forth to we purchased and our "initial" contact with the dealership. Unfortunately, after this is where things went down hill. Contact went back and forth to come up with an agreeable trade-in value and price on the new vehicle (1- 1 1/2 weeks) After this had taken place it seemed to take forever to close the deal as their were monetary errors on the retail buyers order not once but twice. (waited days to finally get corrected contract) Finally, after receiving a "correct" B/O it seemed to take a few days to get the financing paperwork in place (system down we were told) Another issue we ran into had to do with remaining warranty on the vehicle. I had inquired to how much warranty was remaining on the vehicle (by email to salesperson) and the question was never answered. I again brought this request up the day we were finalizing the paperwork in the business office. After 10 mins. or so I was informed the amount of warranty remaining (by salesperson who used a carfax to calculate). After returning home I decided to visit my local dealer for another issue and was informed that the warranty was approx. 9 months less than I was told by the dealership. * I must give credit to the dealership as when they were informed of this error they made things right by giving us an extended warranty on the vehicle at N/C. (It covered almost all of the shortfall.) Other errors/issues: 1) upon signing doc. an extra fee was charged that was never mentioned prior. I was told it was a charge by Lexus fin. which turned out not to be the case. I let this slide. 2) never received my title /info in time and temp.tag on vehicle expired. I was told by dealership that it was sent to DMV on a particuliar date. Dmv stated they did not receive it until 8 days after this date? 3) charged a $150.00 extra processing fee for licencing by a third party (out of state) that was also Not disclosed at anytime prior/during sale. I disputed the charge based on non-disclosure. The dealership did refund the charge since it was not disclosed on the retail purchase agreement which is a state requirement-Florida law. **I did contact salesperson Patrick about this charge/concern prior to having to contact the dealer title dept. He chose not to respond to my email (no response/resolution). So, all-in-all love the vehicle but the buying experience was not even close to a 5 out of 5. To date, I have never purchased a vehicle and have had so many errors/mistakes occur. Maybe it has to do with the volume of car sales or ?? More
