Lexus build good products, but the dealer network is only as good as the management and sales people, and this particular dealership is absolutely WORTHLESS. If you live in San Diego and are looking to purch as good as the management and sales people, and this particular dealership is absolutely WORTHLESS. If you live in San Diego and are looking to purchase a Lexus, there are other dealers that offer a much better customer experience (Escondido, Carlsbad, El Cajon) and you would be well advised to rather use them. 6 months ago, my wife and I went to this dealership looking to purchase a new GX 550. They did not have the vehicle color/trim option that we were looking for and we were told that they would put us on a list with our preferred color/trim options and keep us posted on whether they were able to locate a vehicle elsewhere or whether their dealership would be receiving a vehicle that matched our preferences as part of the monthly allocation of vehicles that Lexus send them. In all this time the only communication that I received from the dealership was someone calling me to ask if I was interested in a different color, despite the fact that I already made it clear to them that I was not interested in a different color at the outset. Subsequently, I made numerous attempts to contact the dealership through their text messaging system that they use to communicate back and forth with customers. I also called, sent emails, and even filled out the 'contact form' on their website asking someone to please contact me and update me on our vehicle search. I received absolutely zero response from anyone at the dealership …….. I then wrote an email to the General Manager and his Chief of Staff, explaining the situation to them and expressing my dissatisfaction with their dealership. Neither of them bothered responding to my email, but rather the sales manager sent me an email, saying that my email had been forwarded to him, and that this was not the 'Lexus way'. He offered to help locate a vehicle for me as soon as possible. I replied to him and provided the exact same preferences that I originally gave to them 6 months ago. It has been a week since I sent that email and have heard absolutely nothing back - not even an acknowledgment of my email from the sales manager who said he was going to do everything possible to help …... I am now working with a different dealer in San Diego (Escondido) as this particular dealership has wasted the past 6 months of my time, and are clearly worthless. Escondido Lexus have managed to do in a couple of weeks, what this dealership has been unable to do for 6 months! This dealership cannot even get basic customer communication right, and it gets worse from there ….. The only think that this dealership is good at is wasting your time and providing you with a REALLY UNPLEASANT experience. You might want to take your business elsewhere. More

After visiting several other dealerships, working with Randy and Danny at Lexus were a breath of fresh air. At other places, we were exhausted by broken promises and hidden add-ons that suddenly appeared Randy and Danny at Lexus were a breath of fresh air. At other places, we were exhausted by broken promises and hidden add-ons that suddenly appeared right when it was time to finalize the deal. From the start, Randy and Danny were straight to the point with zero beating around the bush. Lexus was entirely different—they listened to what we wanted and didn't try to force extra, unwanted dealer services into the price. Handling any optional additions later during finance on our own terms made the whole process feel seamless. I may not have paid a bottom-barrel price, but I walked away feeling like a winner. Zero regret, total peace of mind, and complete ease. If you want a straightforward and respectful car-buying experience, ask for Randy! More
