I had a deposit down on a new car coming in but decided to back out last minute because the wait was up to 6 weeks out and a new body style was rumored to be coming out soon. Decided I wanted to wait and s to back out last minute because the wait was up to 6 weeks out and a new body style was rumored to be coming out soon. Decided I wanted to wait and see what the new style would be before dropping 60k plus. When I told my sales associate Gary Williams this he was completely rude to me and refused to speak to me. I understand he lost that sale and that made him upset but a good sales agent would never act that way towards a customer. I Ended up buying a brand new car from a different dealership within a month. He could’ve had a sale from me eventually if he knew how to treat his customers! More
I came into The Lexus Of Birmingham to look at a vehicle the day before purchasing, and actually started the buying process for the car. The salesman told me the car had been on the lot for 3 weeks and was the day before purchasing, and actually started the buying process for the car. The salesman told me the car had been on the lot for 3 weeks and was currently available. I told them that I would have the funds available and would be ready to purchase the following day. I then set an 9am. appointment in the morning for the following day to come in and purchase the car. The next day I went to purchase the car and had gotten ALL the necessary paperwork and funds available, I then called my credit union and continued the buying process with the salesman ON THE PHONE. I was an APPROVED BUYER. Ten minutes later I received a call stating that they were going to sell the car to someone who was traveling 5 and a half hours away from a different state to the dealership to purchase the car AND I AM A CURRENT RESIDENT OF THE STATE. I LIVE 20 MINUTES AWAY FROM THE DEALERSHIP. I was told the day before that I could hold the car for 1000 down, or I could set an early appointment and come in and finish the buying process, which is what I chose to do. The salesman told me over the phone that they would not be selling me the vehicle and he then suggested I come in and speak with his supervisor named "Ted". I came into dealership and I asked Ted if the person driving put 1000 down and he replied,"No they didn't have to, because it's written policy that we have to honor the customer if they are traveling to purchase or look at a car." I asked him to see a written copy of that policy and he replied," It's a verbal policy." I am a former Defensive Back and National Champion for The University of Alabama Crimson Tide, and currently elected State Official. This was my first car purchasing experience, and I have NEVER felt more embarrassed, ashamed, mistreated, and prejudiced before in my life. This has HURT me deeply. and I hate to think it is the way that I look, but that was the ONLY conclusion that I could come to. It literally brought tears to my eyes. I did not appreciate how I, as a paying, approved, in-state, money in hand, customer was treated. I am crushed spiritually and mentally. I did NOTHING to deserve the treatment that I received at The Lexus Of Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama 1001 Tom Williams Way Birmingham, Alabama 35210. More

I have been a Lexus owner for 15 years, and I currently own 4 lexus vehicles. have moved around the country quite often as a career military service member. My experience with Lexus dealerships, specifica own 4 lexus vehicles. have moved around the country quite often as a career military service member. My experience with Lexus dealerships, specifically with service departments, has always been positive. The service departments have always been helpful and responsive. I have now place 8 telephone calls to the dealership (Lexus of Birmingham) looking to speak to a service rep regarding a 2007 Lexus IS 250 clutch. Of the 8 calls, I have yet to be able to speak to anyone other than the answering service or receptionist. I have left a request after each telephone call to receive a call back from a service representative for assistance with my unique problem. My first call was placed 6 days ago as of today. During one call, I was able to convince the answering service to allow me to remain on hold while I waited for Mr. Kevin Frazier (service manager) to finish with a previous customer. While it was close to the end of the business day, according to the website's list of hours (~5:30 pm), the time of the call was indeed prior to the end of the business day. When he was complete, the answering service rep allowed me to overhear her coordinating with him to allow me to be transferred. I was transferred, and he did not answer the line. After an additional 10 minutes of holding, the dealership's phone system kicked me off, and the call was terminated automatically. I called back and spoke with a receptionist for the dealership and requested to be transferred to Mr. Frazier. My call was transferred, and I left a voice mail for him requesting a call back. No call back to date.....same as all of my other requests. To sum up my experience with this dealership's service department, the customer service is disappointing for a Lexus dealership and well below the expectations for a dealership that carries the name of a luxury automotive agency. I leave a 1000 dollar deposit (refundable) to hold it until I can see it.. Good Thing. I want to come down the next day to check it out & drive. Internet sale's guy said " it needs to go though service before you can drive it". . safety thing.. Good thing.. He said it would take a few days (fine). I call a few days later & he tells me that it's been though service & being detailed... Good Thing. He said he was off the next day & if I could come the following day... Good Thing. Lets go back a few days, He did take a video of the van.. Good Thing. So now I drive 3 1/2 hour to the dealer. Video was good to have if you showed all the defects. first thing I notice was that the detailer needs to be fired. The second thing was right side above wind shield & rear right corner roof big paint spots missing. Not a Good Thing.. But anyway van body in good shape, check tires 2 front 2019, 1 back 2017 & the last 2013?..I can fix these problems.. Test drive was good. They took off 500.00 because of paint,(Good Thing) but had a 629.00 paper work xx. ... remember in the beginning, about had to go though service. Did the xx, drove the Van home, first thing that 2013 tire had to go.. can't remove tires, wheel locks, OK not the end of the world. Call the sales guy (voice mail), ask him to ask the service mgr. about the key, wait two days, no answer. Call again talk to sale guy, I ask him if he got my message about the wheel locks, he said NO.I asked him to check with the service guy. While I was on the phone with him, I told him that they probably don't have a key, so they had no way to check the brakes. I week later no call back. I had to top Brake fluid, power steering fluid, two brake light blubs where out & the windshield wiper blade where dry rot & falling apart.SO MUCH FOR SERVICE. P:S not sure about oil change, there was no sticker on the door or windshield when it was done last ( you know this is a Lexus dealer) More
I was in Birmingham yesterday at the Lexus of Birmingham dealership where there were suppose to have a lot of Lexus ES and RX's and after driving 4 hours to get there only one of the ES were available to lo dealership where there were suppose to have a lot of Lexus ES and RX's and after driving 4 hours to get there only one of the ES were available to look at and they had to jump start it and only two RX's available off the site and I liked one for $37,995 but they played games with my trade-in offering 4,000 below Kbb lowest price and I had to drive 4 hours back home last night getting in at 10pm. I decided it's to far to drive to play games at dealerships 4 hours away. I was met by a saleman that didn't seem to interested in my business and waited around for 3 hours to finally get help. Worse experience I've had at a dealership and was excited about becoming a Lexus owner. More
My wife and I went to test drive a used Lexus nx that was advertised on their website. After driving it, we decided to buy it. That’s when the trouble started. It took almost an hour to finally meet with advertised on their website. After driving it, we decided to buy it. That’s when the trouble started. It took almost an hour to finally meet with the finance manager. When we did, he did the usual attempt to cross sell - all declined. Then, he was condescending to my wife, until he realized we were paying down $11.5k. He gave us an exhorbenet interest rate and didn’t understand basic finance. I’ve been a banker for 25 years and was appalled at the lack of knowledge of a finance MANAGER. we were preapproved for 2% less than the rate they quoted, but they wanted to “see what they could do”. It was quickly apparent that they saw us as a sale that they could use and abuse. So, we left. I’ll be ordering a Lexus for less $, with lower miles at a lower interest rate online. No more Lexus of Birmingham. More
