The only reason I am awarding 5 stars is for Dan Hoffman, the greatest Service Advisor in the last hundred years. After 45 years as a customer with Mercedes-Benz, I should know Service Advisors. And, I purchased this RX from Scanlon ~8 years ago. Dan is awesome, but Dan doesn't figure into this review. Driving my car today, I placed a call to schedule a regular service. Computer voice: "Enter the first two letters of the first name..." "D A". Computer voice: "We have no-one listed by those letters." "D A". "We have no-one ... Enter the first two ..." "D A". "We have no-one ... Enter the first two..." "D A". Three more attempts, plus a few "*"s and "#"s and "0"s, but there is no way to back out of the menu. Call again. A couple prompts to get to my selection for "Service Department". Ha-hah, no more computer for me, I'm going human this time. "Hello, welcome to Lexus of Ft. Myers. How may I direct your call?" "Hi, Dan Hoffman, please." "Is this about a service issue?" "Yes." "And, is this regarding a change to an existing appointment or will you be initiating a new appointment?" "A new appointment." "And, have you serviced your vehicle with us before this?" "Yes." "And, under what number would you have received service prior to this?" "xxx-xxx-xxxx." "And, is that the number you are using today?" "Yes." "And, is this regarding your RX, Mr. Smith?" "That's Jones." "I'm sorry." "I said, my name is Jones. It is not Smith, you've transposed the letters." (Not my real name, but she screwed it up is the point.) "Oh, I'm sorry, yes you are correct, Mr. Jones. And..." "Why are you asking so many questions? I simply asked to be transferred to Dan Hoffman (the greatest Service Advisor in history). Oh, never mind, I will come in and talk to him in person. Good bye." Then, as I was lowering the phone to execute the turn into my drive, "And, will you be coming in tomor....?" What happened? More
