I saw a warning light on the dashboard. It kind of looked like a tire warning. I checked the tires visually and the tires seemed fine. My wife then drove the car while I was the passenger. I read the User Manual and I got concerned that the warning light was for the braking system. So we went back home. By then, the front left side tire was flat. I changed the tire, but the light did not go off. I got concerned enough to call Lexus Service and Lexus Roadside Assistance. The car was towed to the dealer and the next day Lyft drove me to the dealer. The flat tire was replaced and the brakes had no problem. When I got home I more carefully read the User Manual and saw that the tire and brake icons are similar enough to confuse me in the dark in an emergency. If the icons can't be made clearer, they should at least not be put side by side directly under the Ready indicator on the dashboard. More

I brought my car in for repair of a tire that shredded after three months and was under warranty. It took eight days for service to get back to me. When they did, they told that they would only be respo after three months and was under warranty. It took eight days for service to get back to me. When they did, they told that they would only be responsible for the tire itself and that Lexus does not warranty tires. When the tire shredded, the sensor went with it and there was damage to my rear side panel. Finally, after two weeks the sales manager called me back and said that they were only paying for the tire and not anything else and I needed to bring back the loaner car. My relationship and payment went to Lexus, not a tire company. To say that Lexus does not warranty tires is a terrible statement. The sensor was lost when the entire tire shredded off of my car and think that Lexus would not replace that is an abomination. Buying a hundred thousand dollar automobile you would think that a company would not be that petty. After this incident and I was picking up my car, David Torrela called me and said that a check engine light went on so they needed to research the cause. A day later he called me and said to diagnose the problem, it would cost me $4,400 and that the fix could cost up to another 15 plus thousand. So a total of $20,000. I never had an issue with the check engine light. The coincidence of this is unbelievable. I decided at that point to buy a new car (RX 350). My trade in value was severely compromised because of this issue that they did not truly know, but I took a significant decrease on the trade in value of the car. I lost a great deal of respect for the service at Lexus. By the way, I also contacted national Lexus Customer service and they basically did nothing for me. Not a great way to engage customers and retain business. I would be happy to talk with someone about this in the hope that my trade in could be increased or be compensated for this terrible experience. Thank you, Sam Kaufman More
