I was trading in my 2012 Acura MDX and was upside down . So your interest should be based on your credit score and my credit score put me as a prime rate customer of 9.63% for the used vehicle I was trying So your interest should be based on your credit score and my credit score put me as a prime rate customer of 9.63% for the used vehicle I was trying to purchase I was told by the used car manager Andros that the interest rate given me was because I was trading in a vehicle that I owed money on and that interest rate was 20.70% I am aware there is some increase rolling in some negative equity But the rate should have not been increased no more than 1.5% which totaled 11.13% but instead the finance manager gave me a higher interest rate of 20.70% which was outrages being a prime rate customer. But all the time I was there he kept asking me what my interest rate was on my previous vehicle .All he needed to know was my payoff but he kept asking me what my interest rate was on my trade in, I kept telling him I do not remember. So he told me to come back tomorrow and he would let me know. I decided not to purchase this vehicle because the interest rate was way to high that was provided to me for my loan approval. It appeared the finance manager bumped up my buy rate to high which increased my interest rate to 20.70% so I suggest getting your own financing before going into the dealer ship. More
