I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with this dealership. I was explicitly advertised and verbally confirmed by the salesperson that the car I was purchasing was Certified Pre-Owned. We with this dealership. I was explicitly advertised and verbally confirmed by the salesperson that the car I was purchasing was Certified Pre-Owned. We discussed it, confirmed verbally and via text that it was CPO and even agreed on a price based on that certification. The salesman confirmed the leftover manufacture warranty of 2 years or 37k miles PLUS 2 extra years of warranty based on CPO. When I arrived to pick up the car, I was suddenly told the vehicle was not CPO at all. Instead, they attempted to pivot and sell me an extended warranty, which felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic. The entire value proposition of the deal changed at the last minute. Barely an apology and all kinds of excuses for the “confusion”. I showed the sales person the internet photo I had screenshot that says it’s CPO and showed him the text messages he sent me telling me it was CPO. There was no confusion only false advertising. This was a huge waste of my time and completely undermined my trust. Advertising a car as CPO, confirming it with the salesperson, agreeing on a price, and then reversing that at pickup is unacceptable and misleading. Proceed with caution and get everything in writing—though even that may not be honored. More
