I was called at 4 pm stating they needed to keep it overnight. I went to go Pickup the car and was told that they could do the service. Got the car and they did not do the oil change and tried desperately to sell me tires. I’m not happy with them. May never take it back to that dealership. More

I had been negotiating a purchase of a new Lexus for my wife at Lexus of Thousand Oaks over the past several weeks. It was to be an anniversary gift. We had gone to the dealership a few weeks pri wife at Lexus of Thousand Oaks over the past several weeks. It was to be an anniversary gift. We had gone to the dealership a few weeks prior and the best they could do at the time, on the in stock vehicle we wanted was $49,500 plus tax and document fees. I recieved that written offer via an invoice. A week ago, I decided to go back again, with my entire family and make an in person offer of $49K plus tax and document fees. As a potential customer, I do not feel that a $500 less, in person offer, is rude or disrespectful. The salesman met us as we entered the dealership. I informed him that I wanted to submit a counter offer of $49k plus tax and fees for the car, which was still in stock. The salesman requested that we wait in the Lexus public indoor lounge, while my offer was reviewed. We were seated near other customers in the open lounge. The saleman came out, stood before us and stated "$49,500 is the best we can do, and at that price we are actually loosing money on the car. And at $49,500 you will just be a notch in our belt to meet a sales goal." Shocked and in disbelief, I repeated to him "So we are just a notch in your belt to meet a sales goal?" The salesman walked away quickly and left us there. Never have I felt so embarassed or humiliated. My wife, daughter and I just looked at each other. We were in shock. We left and I immediately emailed the Dealer Principal, Mr Swickard, and the General Manager, Mr Chirchick about what had happened to us. I did receive a response back from both. We were then offered the car for $49k, plus tax and fees, plus free delivery. Im not trying to get this car for free or at an unreasonable low price, but giving me the car for the same price, which I had offered pre insult and humiliation, and throwing in free delivery is not "making it right." Had this arrogant salesman politely and respectfully refused my offer of $49k' and not humiliated us in the public lounge in front of orders, we would have bought the car for $49,500 right on the spot. I find it interesting that negative sales reviews get buried and mixed in with service and maintenance department reviews. Negative reviews get the same exact response from the "customer service" responder. Hopefully the response to bad experience ratings isn't AI generated/cut and paste responses. More
