Worst experience I have ever had! Where to start. If there were negative stars it would be better. Complete lack of competence. Or rather just a complete disregard to do the right thing. These people should not be in business. Back to the beginning. A 8 month saga with the car dealership. In February I bought a used extended cab Ford transit connect for my work. A month later (after being on vacation for 2 weeks) I came home to the snow melting and the top of the Ford pealing back. From the beginning I had questioned them about the extended cab and was worried it might leak. They “took it in the back” and assured me it was a quality job……Obviously it wasn’t. The paint on the top was pealing back, it was leaking and the sides were cracking. I called them up and told them the problem. They wanted me to bring it in to fix it. I knew this was going to be a continuous issue and didn’t trust them to “fix” it. I told them this was a lemon and I wanted a different car.. They obliged and I returned it to get basically the car that I originally traded in for the Ford. It was just now I owed $5,000 on a car that previously I had paid off. When I brought it back not one person there asked to see what was wrong with it. (On a side note, while test driving the car, the radio was going in and out. I thought I was hitting weird buttons or something. Nope the radio was broken; it didn’t have a manual book, and was missing its fabric cover in back…..neither here or there though) But wait…..It gets worse……….. I had paid the full warranty $2,0108 on the Ford. Which I had for a month and drove about 200 mile on. The “good fellow” at the dealership said that I should be getting most of this money back. When asked when I should be expecting refund check, he told me 45 days! 45 days came and went. More like 120 days. Call after call…You haven’t received your check yet? Oh that’s surprising. Blah…Blah.. Excuse, excuse, excuse, excuse. Finally in July, Four months or so later, I finally get out of him that I need to be signing paperwork. He told me I have to come in to sign it that I can’t email. I live 1 ½ hrs away… So after going in to sign the paperwork. He assures me he will put the miles I drove the Ford down and should still get most of my refund back. This should take 45 days and they will issue the check. And another 45 days later. Call after call… Well I filled out the paper work??? I don’t know why you haven’t gotten check yet. I’ll check on things and get back to you. He never checked on anything. Finally I had reached my tipping point and I started to swear over the phone at him. Call after call. Finally I got him on the phone only because the person that answered thought my name was someone else. His response and I quote. “Frankly after you swore at me the other day, I lost interest” Tell me when he actually ever had interest. I said I don’t care that it was his job!!! Then I finally get out of him that this other company writes out a check for my warranty to the dealership and then the dealership writes me out a check…He gave me the impression it was all through the dealership…regardless, I get the other company’s name and phone number. I call them up…. They tell me they just got the paper work from dealership. (2 months after I signed it) and yeah he put I had only driven 200 miles, but the miles didn’t matter, it was for how long I had it. Which they now had as me having it for 7 months. So I scanned some documents and emailed them…..Within 45 minutes…They tell me I am getting full warranty and that if I don’t get the check by the end of October to call them and they would call the dealership for me. But wait….there’s more……… So I finally get check in the mail from the dealership…but it’s only for $732. I call up the other company and told them of the amount that I had received and that I was expecting $2,108 not $732. I scanned some more documents. The guy on the phone told me not to cash the check.. He got a superior to research the matter. Yeah the dealership messed up in a “freak mistake” and I will be getting a check for the remainder of the money owed $1,376. Yeah the dealership was just hoping that I would not know, care, remember or check how much they really owed me and was hoping I would just be satisfied with the 3rd of the amount so they could pocket the rest. Really the whole thing was probably just drawn and drawn out in hopes that I would get so frustrated and give up. Well $2,108 is not just a little bit of money to me. If I had had that money I could have paid off my car. They should have been paying me interest on that! More

No other dealership to buy from - we're a customer for life! We just purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Northampton Jeep. This was our 3rd Jeep purchase and it was the BEST car buying experience in our 25+ yea We just purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Northampton Jeep. This was our 3rd Jeep purchase and it was the BEST car buying experience in our 25+ years of driving. Matt, Bill, Anthony and Murray were fantastic - extremely knowledgeable, very accommodating and friendly....they treated us like family. The minute we walked in the door Matt greeted us and helped us with the transaction. Murray knew the car inside and out and provided great advice when showing the features. He spent as much time as we needed reviewing all the new features and answered all of our questions. Anthony found us outstanding financing and gave us a great price for an extended warranty. There is NO other Jeep Dealership we will purchase from in the future other than Northampton CDJR. We drove 1.5 hours to make the purchase and would even drive 8 more hours if all of our car buying experiences could be like this (and we have a Jeep Dealership less than 2 miles from our house). You will NOT be disappointed if you buy from them! More

Best Ever Car Buying Experience! I have bought a bunch of cars over the years and I must say that I had the best car buying experience I ever had at Northampton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ra I have bought a bunch of cars over the years and I must say that I had the best car buying experience I ever had at Northampton Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram! I originally called to ask about a Dodge Avenger because they were giving so many rebates on that car. I spoke to Murray, the general manager and he insisted that I try the Dodge Dart SXT and I will totally love it and forget all about the Avenger. I had my doubts that I would be able to afford it based on my budget but I went to the dealership anyways to check it out...hey...maybe they will surprise me. Well...just like Murray said, I drove the car and totally fell in love with it! You get so much more car with the Dart than you do for the same money for a comparable compact foreign car. I was hesitant to try an American car but I am so glad I did because I am so impressed. I got a much bigger engine than I would with a Toyota, Honda, Hyundai etc...when you hit the gas it goes! When I got to the dealership, I met Murray and he had Steve show me the cars and the features, Steve knows his stuff and was a true pleasure to deal with. Once I had decided on the car I wanted, I (figuratively) held my breath until Murray told me what the numbers would be. I was elated when he told me he got me right where I needed to be! He gave me a fantastic trade value and even worked with me regarding a situation I had with my down payment. All the people at Northampton CDJR are friendly, extremely helpful and not once was I given the hard sell. Not once was I asked "what will it take to make you buy today"...I really appreciated that because up until this visit, I got that from just about every other dealer I went to. When I went back the next day, I met some more of the people and they were as great as Murray and Steve are. I did all the paperwork in about 10 minutes. If you are considering a new car, I highly recommend stopping in and seeing what they can do for you...I think you will enjoy the car buying experience as much as I did! Keep up the great work! More
Best Buying Experience, Thanks to Sean! My wife and I moved here from California for a new job and we needed a second vehicle. I was set on the new Jeep Cherokee Latitude and sent inquiries My wife and I moved here from California for a new job and we needed a second vehicle. I was set on the new Jeep Cherokee Latitude and sent inquiries to numerous dealerships to see where I would get the best deal. Sean from Northampton called me back to make sure he had exactly what I was looking for, and then made an offer that almost sounded too good to be true. That evening I drove about an hour to meet him at Northampton Jeep. They were about to close but all the staff and managers were still so friendly and took their time for us, and I must add there was no pressure on us to make a decision. To my surprise, the price he quoted was exactly what he said over the phone, not a penny more. I didn’t feel like I was being sold things I didn’t want and Sean was very straightforward and extremely knowledgeable of the vehicle and options I was looking for. Unfortunately, the Connecticut DMV wouldn’t let me register the vehicle because I still had a California license, so I couldn’t drive the car home even though I completed all the paperwork. The next day I got my CT license, and Sean actually drove the Jeep all the way to my house to drop it off (an hour away). I have never had a dealership go out of their way to make a customer that satisfied AFTER the deal, and for that reason they have earned my business when it’s time for my next car. My wife was so impressed that she even wants to look into replacing our second car. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the overall experience!!! Plus, Northampton offers free oil changes for life!!! Only dealer I will go to... Highly recommended I can't say enough wonderful things about the entire team at Northampton CJD. We randomly stopped in a few years ago for my son's car and today I pick I can't say enough wonderful things about the entire team at Northampton CJD. We randomly stopped in a few years ago for my son's car and today I picked up a lease on a new Dart GT. Everyone I know will be told that's where they should go for a vehicle. I won't ever go anywhere else myself. I honestly don't write this review lightly either. I'm a four star rater at best but this team, they will have five. Thank you all for two great experiences! Great experience from start to finish OK, so I was on the market for a new vehicle and was interested in the Dodge Durango R/T model as an upgrade from my 09 Honda Pilot EXL. I went to th OK, so I was on the market for a new vehicle and was interested in the Dodge Durango R/T model as an upgrade from my 09 Honda Pilot EXL. I went to the Dodge website to put an inquiry in and see what dealerships had that model in stock for me to go look at. As it turns out there were only 3 in my general area (a broad general area lol) that had models on the lot. The following day the first 2 dealerships I inquired at didn't get a hold of me, only got the automated emails as responses. Then the wonderful staff at this dealership did call me. I spent some time on the phone talking to Sean about the vehicle and my potential trade in and so I decided to that day take a ride out to Northampton from Winchendon (about 40 miles or so). When I arrived at the dealership, which was pretty easy to get to, even from the scenic route I took, right away I noticed the freshly washed Durango's in the front line. As I exited my car, Sean was there in the parking lot to greet me and right away we started to talk about the vehicles I was interested in. First was talking about the features of the vehicles, the options they came with, engine sizes and the whatnots of the vehicles. After was the test drive, first the v6 model then the R/T. Once we got back to the dealership I was introduced to Dan and the 3 of us sat down and discussed trade-in values, financing options and the normal deal making even though I did mention that the deal still might be a bust. To make a long story short, these 2 gentlemen worked with me and made my experience there so great that I did in fact turn over my car right then and there to get the keys to a new 2014 Durango R/T. Both Sean and Dan are great assets to the company and were great to work with. This is the type of car buying experience that everyone needs to have. They kept nothing hidden from me, let me see the numbers getting crunched, laughed and joked just like we all were long time buddies. To sum it up, this was the best car buying experience that I have had and will come back when it is time to upgrade again. I have already praised the dealership verbally to most my friends and will recommend this place to anyone. More than 2 thumbs up to everyone there! More
Awesome Experience!! I had gotten an incredibly affordable online quote for a Dodge Caravan so I went in to test drive and purchase. Once I got there we realized the online quote (not from this dealership itself) I got was not accurate for the specific van I was looking at, Matt, Dan M., Murray, and Anthony worked very hard to try to get the numbers to where I needed them to be to walk away with this van. When it became evident that I couldn't get that Dodge, they didn't give up and tried another way to get me into a great van. It ended up that I was able to walk away with a fantastic Chrysler Town & Country Touring. It had everything I wanted and more....and the numbers were right where I wanted them. Not only did they get me a great deal on a great vehicle, but they all worked to get the van ready, the paperwork done and the registration completed that day so I wouldn't have to make the trip back over the next day to get the van. Dan S. who wasn't working with us even stepped in to help speed things along and get my inspection sticker taken care of so I could get home faster. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will definitely go back for my next car and recommend this dealership to others. They are awesome!! More
