Service department damaged my vehicle (door ding and bent license plate) Also found an Apple charger cord, a used nitrile glove, and a trim tool from Matco It's been 5 business days, and no follow-up fro license plate) Also found an Apple charger cord, a used nitrile glove, and a trim tool from Matco It's been 5 business days, and no follow-up from the dealer. This was the 3rd visit for the same reason - I should be happy that they finally found the problem, but they drove the car almost 4 miles in making that diagnosis (probably took it for lunch) More

They try Worst dealership hands down. Terrible staff that are rude and pushy. Service department is full of lazy idiots who know nothing about cars. They try to charge $160 to read a code which you can get done for free from Oriellys across the street! They won’t honor an extended warranty bought from them! Avoid this place at all costs. More
This place cannot be trusted. Brought my leased Sorento in for service which was supposed to be complimentary. Paid for tire rotation because that was not part of the free service. When I returned for serv in for service which was supposed to be complimentary. Paid for tire rotation because that was not part of the free service. When I returned for service at 18k I needed new tires. Go figure! Brought it up to consumer affairs but they were no help. With that experience decided to go an independent mechanic for an oil change. He asked me if I ever had the oil changed. Another go figure! Don’t trust this dealership. More

If there was a way to give NEGATIVE stars I definitely would!!!! This dealership doesn't deserve 1 single star. After endless phone calls trying to get everything figured out before we would have to drive would!!!! This dealership doesn't deserve 1 single star. After endless phone calls trying to get everything figured out before we would have to drive almost 3 hours one way (out of state). The night before we had the financing figured out, vehicle picked out and we were told it would be cleaned and ready for us to sign for the paperwork and leave 20-30 minutes tops once we arrived. Well, 45 minutes away we confirmed that everything is still in place and to ask for our salesman once we arrived. When we arrived the vehicle was "magically sold".no body knows how or why it was sold from under us. After spending 2 hours at this dealership we left with no answers, no vehicle and told ehhh, you're near Chicago so just go out to eat. I'm sorry we have a 2 and 3 year old in the car that have been so good and patient. We wouldn't drive 3 hours one way to go out to dinner. ABSOLUTELY WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! we were told to call back Monday-so like fools we did..nothing has came or been done to resolve this issue. We were promised a gas card...guess what never got that either. Such a joke of a dealership!!! More
Do NOT take care of Warrant able Items Horrific Experience. PLEASE PLEASE READ all of the posts they all are saying the same thing. They are deceitful and do not care about their customers. Horrific Experience. PLEASE PLEASE READ all of the posts they all are saying the same thing. They are deceitful and do not care about their customers. They do not warrant their products. Everyone has said the same thing so please do not fall victim like me, I made the mistake not reading their reviews before purchasing a vehicle for my son. This is a new one, have you ever needed to replace your brakes on a car with 11,000 miles??? The Volkswagen Service Department say the car rotors were warped from the vehicle sitting extended periods. I bought a 2016 with 2,000 miles in 2019 (I have had the vehicle for 9 months) wouldn't that be the time the rotors would have warped in their parking lot? They said this is normal and I should of brought it up sooner if I wanted it covered. Stay away, all of the reviews are true. I will pay for the service to be performed elsewhere. Greg Sherman is absolutely unprofessional and definitely doesn't understand customer satisfaction based on how low their scores are in various posts. Now they will send me a blanket response back to call Steve Gustafson because he cares, but the funny part is I am still waiting for his call back before I wrote this review. More
NIghtmare experience I went in to have a few recalls on my Kia optima 2013 last month, and when I left, my radio stopped working. I came back and they told me they had not I went in to have a few recalls on my Kia optima 2013 last month, and when I left, my radio stopped working. I came back and they told me they had nothing to do with it and quoted me over $600 on the spot to get it replaced. I let it go. Then more issues started to occur within my vehicle, and at this point it was very obvious that they did something. I came in and they told me there was an aftermarket harness connected from the fuse box to the battery. Why didn't they tell me this the first time I came back about my radio? They eagerly presented me with a quote of over $1,700 to fix everything. When I asked to see the harness they wanted to replace, they played dumb and did not want to show me. They claimed it was not their fault. My car was acting perfectly normal before I came in. They also told me it was not guaranteed that doing this would even fix my car. I thought these guys here were supposed to be experts? How do I know that they aren't making these things up just so they don't have to do the job for free? It was way too fishy. Do not come to this place as they will screw you over. I cannot believe this happened, and I hope it does not happen to anyone ever again. More
$572 to Replace Battery I called Liberty Kia on Friday afternoon because I was at a gas station close by in Vernon Hills and my car wouldn’t start after I filled my tank. The I called Liberty Kia on Friday afternoon because I was at a gas station close by in Vernon Hills and my car wouldn’t start after I filled my tank. They gave me the number of the towing company they use and I had my 2016 Kia Soul towed there. Jason, the service manager, told me they were busy and he couldn’t get to it until Monday morning, and he’d call me after they looked at it. i called at 9:15 am Monday. Call went to voice mail. Left message that I really needed a call back ASAP as I need my car to work. Jason called me back around 10:30 and told me they were pulling it into the bay now. Finally at 1:30 he called me back and said the motor won’t turn over and they need to call KIA. Found this strange but said okay and reiterated that I really need my car for work. Jason called me back at 4:00 all happy and said they found the problem— my battery was bad, bulging and looked like it could explode. At this point I’m wondering why that wasn’t the first thing they looked at as the problem was my car wouldn’t start... I asked him what the bill was. He said $490. I asked him how in the world the bill could be that high for a bad battery. He said $85 for the tow (10 minute tow but whatever), $140 for diagnostics, and $265 for the battery and installation. I expressed my displeasure at this outrageous price, but what could I do— they had my car and I needed to work. I took an Uber there ($9, only reasonable charge of this fiasco) and went to the counter to pay my bill. The woman pulled my ticket and said the charge is $572! I asked to speak to Jason. He came out and I asked him how the outrageous bill of $490 to replace my battery increased to $572. He said, “I didn’t tell you $490.” I said yes Jason, you did— I even told you the charge was exorbitant and you gave me the breakdown of charges. He denied it again. I asked him to explain the charges to me. He started off with the $140 charge for running diagnostics on my car. I asked him why that was necessary if I had an obvious bulging battery and the problem was my car wouldn’t start. He said that KIA’s have been having issues with motors seizing and he needed to make sure I didn’t have a problem with my motor. Perplexed, I asked him why I should pay for that. He said that’s the way it works. At this point, my frustration was pretty high. I paid my bill and left feeling like I was just fleeced. I like my KIA Soul— but I will NEVER go back to Liberty KIA to have it serviced. More
