This person Ms. Doosmom16 was not the buyer. Two weeks prior to this incident I had a interpreter call me saying she had a gentleman from Japan coming out and wanted to buy this fully loaded Cadillac from our dealership. The customer buying the vehicle did not speak english so I would have to go through his interpreter for pricing, etc. The interpreter was a very nice lady and was helping me and her client agree on price, day of pickup, etc. We agreed on price, I made him a great deal because I was excited for him and his first vehicle in the United States. I really wanted to show him how great and easy it is to do business here at Liberty Buick even if you are from another country! We were all excited for the big day, for him to pick up his new car! Now another customer came in that same morning wanting to buy this Cadillac, we told that customer it was already sold. When the man from Japan arrived in the states he came to the dealership with his interpreter and another lady (Mrs Doosmom 16). She came in the dealership demanding to speak to the manager. I went in the office and she said you need to lower your price like $400 dollars, she said she had worked in the car business and she knows how this stuff works? I told her Im sorry but we all worked on this deal for the last two weeks and I cannot go any lower on the price plus it is much lower then the kelly blue book price. She said thats not true she knows what cars are worth she proceeded to tell me kelly blue book means nothing she said there are many more Cadillac's out at other dealerships. I said well Im sorry I cant go any lower and I feel that the customer is still going to buy the vehicle because we worked so hard together. I am sorry she misunderstood my sense of urgency for arrogance. I did let her know there was someone else here in the morning looking at the vehicle but we had a sold tag in it and told him it was not available. She said lower the price or we are not buying it, she then stormed out of the office and said we are leaving. The interpreter walked by me embarrassed and she apologized saying sorry for bringing her and making a scene. I said no need to apologize you and your client are great people to work with and they left. The other salesperson called the customer that was looking at the car earlier and he came in and bought the Cadillac within the hour. Ms Doosman16 came back about three hours later wanting to negotiate more and we told her the car already sold. She stormed out saying she was going to leave bad reviews about the dealership. The interpreter did call us back and thanked us for everything, she also said we were more than fair with the deal we offered her client.
