Did not listen to what the problem was and what has already been done to the vehicle. Wanted to replace the part that was already replaced ($400 by an autoshop) and jack the price up ($1k+), knowing th already been done to the vehicle. I’ve scheduled two appointments for a recall on a 2017 Mustang for a backup camera wiring harness replacement, both morning appointments. When I dropped my car off for the first appointment, I returned to Mustang for a backup camera wiring harness replacement, both morning appointments. When I dropped my car off for the first appointment, I returned to be told that the “inspection” confirmed a wiring harness replacement would be required and that the part would be ordered, which blew my mind; I would have expected the wiring harness to be on-hand for an appointment for a wiring harness replacement. After scheduling another 7am appointment I received no calls from the dealership until I reached out later in the day 1pm (6 hours later). I was told at that time that one of the fastest techs were on it. I dropped by the dealership at 2:30pm to get an update; I was informed that the harness instructions weren’t very clear but that the vehicle would be ready for the dealership closed at 6pm. Based on my lowered expectations I returned the next day to pickup my vehicle from the dealership without incident. Overall not impressed with the communication. More
