Excellent Service Department Our Chrysler Town & Country van had engine problems and the Liccardi service team was wonderful. Suprise Hidden Fees and Surcharges Three weeks ago I purchased a used vehicle from Liccardi Chrysler. They claimed that because I was purchasing the car using the internet price (almost Three weeks ago I purchased a used vehicle from Liccardi Chrysler. They claimed that because I was purchasing the car using the internet price (almost 10K lower than the floor room price) I had to pay almost an additional $2500 in fees. These fees were solely reserved for those who purchased in reliance on the internet price. Later, I called other local dealerships and I was told that those fees are bogus. In any event, I financed through their finance office and paid all of the fees, including taxes, that I was told to pay. The finance guy then told me that if the dealership overestimated the registration and tag fees then I would get a refund. I received my temporary tags and travelled home. Almost two weeks later, the dealership called to tell me that that they had my tags, but I owed them an additional $160 because they underestimated the cost of my vehicle registration. I later learned that the underestimation was because they paid a 3rd party to process the tags and they neglected to include those costs in the fees I paid at purchase time. Again, I called other dealerships, and I was repeatedly told that when a dealership underestimates registration and tag costs then the dealership typically waives those fees for the customer. I asked the Liccardi manager to waive those fees and he said he would not. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he said no. He expressly agreed that it was a mistake on their part, but that if I want the tags I'm going to have to pay more for them. I was upset and disappointed in this process, and I encourage folks to think twice before buying from them because they appear to create fees out of thin air and pressure the customer to paying for them. More
