I just purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee from Lindsay Chrysler/Jeep. Latrina Mullins could not have been more helpful in explaining the features to me. I had recently purchased a ram 1500 truck. I was under the assumption that it was a 2017. I then had to bring it back to Maryland and pay out of pocket for a state inspection at a different dealership wh the assumption that it was a 2017. I then had to bring it back to Maryland and pay out of pocket for a state inspection at a different dealership which I was told upfront that had to be done and agreed to. The vehicle is a Chrysler certified vehicle. It had failed Maryland state inspection for leaking struts, seized park brake assembly on both rear wheels and leaking exhaust. I was told that a possible cause of the parking brake assembly being seized was due to the possibility that vehicle had been underwater at some point, possibly a flood. I was given the impression that a 2017 with low mileage would be covered under factory bumper to bumper warranty. Then come to find out the vehicle was actually built in 2016 therefore the warranty had expired. I was then put in contact with service manager for Lindsay Ford in Maryland. He was very very helpful and took care of the vehicle. He had arranged for a loaner vehicle for me to drive while repairs to my vehicle were made. When I got the vehicle back it had passed Maryland state safety inspection. That’s why review has 2 stars and not only 1. The manager at Lindsay Ford went above and beyond. Moving forward the passenger rear door fills up with water every time it rains. I am now experiencing acceleration issues. Noticed paint damage which could possibly be rust or corrosion. A vehicle of this year should not be experiencing that. The truck had scratches that were on the vehicle when I purchased it and was told that they would be taken care of, they were not. Was contacted by another salesman who gave me the impression that he was going to be working for me to help resolve the issue then did not have contact for at least a week...no response to text messages. Also turned on the wiper blades heard a noise from the front of the vehicle. A couple days later while washing the vehicle I noticed a hole in the windshield cowling possibly due to bent or misaligned wiper transmission. Also noticed severe heat damage to the passenger side mirror when vehicle was washed. I can honestly say that I will never buy a vehicle from there again as it stands now I will probably go to a different dealership and trade this vehicle out and take a loss because I am completely dissatisfied. I would not recommend this dealership to any one looking to buy a vehicle. I was told repeatedly that they were the top three customer satisfaction dealership in the nation, this has definitely not been my experience. Apologies for the lengthy review... there are definitely other issues that I am experiencing as well that I haven’t put in. Buyer beware! More
