Jake, the person who checked us in, was friendly and helpful. As we sat in the lobby waiting for the vehicle, we noticed that most all of the employees who came in and out of the service door made eye contact with the people in the lobby with a friendly smile. That says a lot for this dealership! All in all, a great experience! More

He also stayed late on numerous occasions to accommodate my crazy work schedule. There was a slip up in the delivery of the truck due to mechanical problems and Kevin Lewis went way out of his way to make phone call after phone call to find out what was going on and get the delivery expedited to ensure I had my truck by the time I needed it! I closely worked with Troy Ansley, Kevin Lewis, Henry Diaz and Matt Ragle, and I have to say that between all of these guys they made my visit to Lithia Dodge of South Anchorage very enjoyable. They were very knowledgeable and fun guys to talk to and joke around with during the lag time. More

I was undecided between a truck and a wrangler but never once did I feel devalued or rushed. Would recommend Lithia and Troy 10/10 times. More

Worst Service Experience of My Life A month and a half ago I bought my first new vehicle ever from this dealership. After dropping it off at Uhaul within a week for a hitch install (my first mistake), someone called and said they had run into the passenger door with a forklift. OH MY GOD. Though distraught, I thought the best possible people to restore my vehicle to new again would be the dealership (my second mistake). Two days after dropping off the vehicle I decide to drive past with my rental to see if I could see my jeep. The service department was closed for the evening with no one around and it was about to rain. My jeep was sitting outside without a window unprotected. I found a salesman and made him help me cover it with plastic. He confirmed that all service employees had gone home for the evening... Despite Uhaul paying for expedited shipping on parts, the service job on my vehicle took 3+ weeks. Needless to say I was excited to finally get my brand new vehicle back. After getting the keys I went out to my vehicle to find... not only were all of the paint chips and scratches still on the door, but a wire was smashed and hanging out of the new side view mirror (it had to be replaced) and the car was still FULL of glass! Now I think a glass cleanup should be part of the job but if not, charge for it. Dont give it back like that! At this point I started working with the service manager directly. Though very nice, he too didnt seem to understand that I wanted my vehicle back fully repaired and looking like new. I repeatedly had to say its not a hard concept, make it look like it did before the collision. Twice I returned to the dealership and had to tell them "its not done." I even took pictures of the new vehicles in their lot to show them what a new and damaged vehicle looks like. Now I should note that apparently the service department and the body shop are different entities and do not communicate with one another AT ALL. They didnt tell me this in the beginning. You can imagine my surprise when one called and said they havnt seen my vehicle and dont know where it is. Later, the body shop called and said my vehicle would be done the next week, that I couldnt return my loaner vehicle there, and that they cant deliver it back to the service department. 10 minutes later the service department says they have my vehicle and it is done... It wasnt. When I finally agreed to take the jeep back, it still had minor cosmetic damage. I decided to take it elsewhere for the final work because this was more than a month later and we wernt getting anywhere. That whole time it was at the dealer they told me they took care of the work that I purchased with the car (roof rack install, undercoat, spare tire kit and autostart). While the salesman told me the spare tire kit included a full size tire, it turned out to be just a temporary one. And there was no kit! No jack or lugnut wrench etc! I called the sales clerk about this and he said they screwed up... I'm still waiting on that. And the autostart... While it appears to be decent, the salesman told me it would by Viper brand. It wasnt. Well, I'm still finding glass in obvious places and a piece even had my finger bleeding yesterday. The vehicle looks decent at this point after over a month of xxxx. These people take NO pride in their work or their customers. They pay NO attention to detail. They might smile at you and offer apologies, but in the end that doesnt get the work done. I will NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE! Jeep should be ashamed to be affiliated with this department. More

We drove into Anchorage from Palmer, AK with the sole purpose of researching available trucks, their options, prices, and incentive programs. This was to be a reconnaissance mission only, with plans to buy a truck later on in the year. We had stopped by several other Anchorage dealerships looking at the Toyota Tundra, Nissan Titan, Chevrolet Silverado, and Ford F150, looking over the trucks, talking with salesmen, and getting the low down on proffered incentive programs. But then we entered Lithia’s lot in South Anchorage, and several hours later, drove out with a new Ram 1500 Bighorn. WARNING! If you don’t want to buy a new vehicle, don’t stop by Lithia on Old Seward Highway in Anchorage. Waste your time stopping by their competitors. Talk to their uninspiring salespeople and leave knowing that you know less than when you arrived. And by all means, avoid speaking with Lithia employee David Dowd! He could sell snake oil to a snake! Seriously though, we couldn’t be happier with the way David greeted us, answered all our questions, showed us models that fit the profile we presented, and then enticed us to buy now rather than wait. Which, truth be known, is what we really wanted to do anyway. David is probably one of the friendliest and most knowledge salesmen we have ever met. He actively engaged us in conversation, sharing bits of his life as my wife enquired about his experiences growing up in Alaska. And not once did he roll his eyes (too much) at our quirkiness, well, my wife’s, since she’s from England. He is a very enjoyable young man and we are extremely pleased that we bumped into him in our search for a new truck. But there are others at Lithia, besides David, who deserve thanks. We spent most of our time with David closing the deal, but equally friendly and gracious was the young man who prepped our new truck for us, and found and returned an earring that my wife didn’t know she had lost during our test drive; the manager who spent time checking that we got a fair deal on our trade-in, and ensured we received all the incentives we were entitled to; and Matthew Ragle, in finance, who made it so easy for the bank to have us on the hook for the next few years. Everyone we met were incredibly helpful and friendly, treating us like we were the most special people they ever met, even though they probably met hundreds that day alone. GREAT CREW! THANK YOU ALL, SO VERY MUCH!!! Will & Alison Lafferty More
