Wonderful experience David, the salesman, made my first car purchase ever so incredibly pleasant. If I were to buy another vehicle, it would be from him. Caught Defrauding the Customer I received a recall notice in the mail and I called Lithia to schedule an oil change as well as to clear the open recalls on the truck. Wednesday 11/ I received a recall notice in the mail and I called Lithia to schedule an oil change as well as to clear the open recalls on the truck. Wednesday 11/28, during working hours, I contacted Lithia Dodge to arrange a shuttle pick up when the vehicle was ready, (no one ever called). So once I got off work, I called again and was transferred to the shuttle driver and he came to pick me up. I arrived at the store around 4:15pm in the afternoon to pick the truck up and was provided the key and a report of the work completed, which included an oil change, vehicle inspection, a computer update, a tailgate bump stop to clear a recall and a replacement of the water pump. Once I got home, my husband went out to check the work completed. My husband discovered the usual issues with the oil change. The oil life was not reset, the front drive line was not greased and the undercarriage was not washed. He also noticed that there is a large scratch in the driver side passenger door that wasn’t there the day before, complete with the dust moved. Along with an alarming find. The water pump was not replaced. We checked the paperwork received, and I remember being assured that the water pump was replaced. He looked up the recall online, found the part numbers and manufacture subject to the recall, they all matched the part in our driveway. The water pump was rusted and the bolts had the factory overspray on them. After spending nearly an hour in the driveway at 8pm trying to figure out what we were missing. We decided that in fact we had been lied to. My husband took time-stamped photos, along with the time stamped invoice. On Thursday 11/29 my husband contacted Lithia’s service department and spoke with Joel, who as expected didn’t believe his story but wanted the truck brought back in for review. My husband advised Joel that I would be bringing the truck in on Friday 11/30 at 3:45pm. On Friday 11/30, I bring the truck across town again for review, I arrived at 3:45pm and I’m told that I won’t be speaking with Joel, another service adviser will be dealing with “my situation”. I’m not sure that they realize that this is THEIR situation. (This entire encounter is recorded also) I tell this new service advisor our issues (3 now) and he only seems interested in the water pump. I insist that we discuss the scratch on the truck as well as the fact that we now want our lifetime oil refunded. With this being our first non-oil related experience with the service department, we no longer have any trust left. The advisor I worked with went over the scratch and basically told me it “wasn’t that bad”. I don’t know about anyone else but I would like to receive my vehicle back in the same physical condition as when I left it with someone. He told me he would look into the lifetime oil as asked me to take a seat. So I provide the key and took a seat in the waiting area for 30 minutes. When the service advisor called me back up they verified that the water pump wasn’t replaced and I could bring it back whenever I wanted to and they would complete it. I was also informed that the service manager advised there was no way they could provide a refund of the lifetime oil, not once addressing our concerns with trusting them after this major lie we caught them in. While I was waiting, the service advisor went to the parts department and found that the service tech turned in an empty box that should have contained the unused water pump since the work was not completed, I was advised they would be following up with the service tech on where the OEM part went. On Saturday 12/1 I made a third trip across town and dropped the truck off at 10:30am. With the inconvenience of this third trip to we had to make multiple back and forth trips in both of our personal vehicles. My husband had to pick me up at Lithia, I had to drop him at work, then pick him up and bring him back to Lithia when the truck was ready. I had asked for a loaner vehicle and none of the service advisors I worked with ever acknowledged my request on this third day that I spent with them. When we arrived to pick up the truck, we were assured that the truck was complete and we were provided our key. When I asked where the truck was, no one seemed to have an answer. We walked the entire lot, finally finding it in the far NW corner, behind sales, two spots from the edge. It would have been nice if they felt the need to bring it up or at least tell us where it was. Monday 12/3, I have driven the vehicle to West Eugene town again to a detail shop to have the scratch in the door addressed. Tuesday, 12/4, I had to take the vehicle back yet again because the tailgate wouldn’t lock after they added the bump stop to clear the recall. In addition to this I received a low coolant warning (which should have been filled during the oil change a week prior) More

Lithia is terrible! My wife had taken in our truck for and oil change (life time oil package), and 3 separate recalls. I have had issues with lithia's service department My wife had taken in our truck for and oil change (life time oil package), and 3 separate recalls. I have had issues with lithia's service department in the past, so when she arived back home I decided to look over their work. Well, one of the recalls was for replacing the water pump that is prone to fail, and catch fire. I quickly saw that I did not have a new water pump, my original factory pump was still installed. I reviewed the paper work summarizing my repairs, and it explicitly stated "water pump replaced, coolant filled, and test drove". This prompted me to lookin to which water pumps were affected by the recall, which I quickly found matched my water pump. I also found a new scratch in my door that was not there previously... I call lithia and ask them if I'm reading my paperwork correctly where it states "replaced water pump", and they verified that's what they had done. Then I proceed to ask them why I still have the old, recalled pump installed on my truck. At first the assistant service manager did not believe me, eventually asking me to bring the truck back in so they can inspect it. We do so, and after about a half hour of a group of people from lithia talking and looking at my truck, they come over to say your right, we did not install the new pump. They claim their tech was the problem, that he lied about installing the part. This may be the case, or Lithia is just screwing customers - i dont know what to believe at this point. Anyways, they said they will make it right, bring back the truck anytime and they will fit us in. They tried to dismiss the scratch and I was not will to let it go, I'm 100 percent confident they are to blame. So they try to get us to let them buff it out, I told them no, you guys screwed up buffing it when the truck was brand new and I had to get that fixed by someone else. I told them that I want to take it to a well know, and reputable detail shop in town that I use, and mentioned to them that they use this shop as well. A little back and fourth is done, but we come to an agreement. Well...a few days go by and I'm trying to get the scratch taken care of. Lithia made it sound like they had an account with this detail shop and the detail shop would just bill lithia for the work. This turns out to not be the case and now have a bunch more hurdles to cross... So we schedule the round two water pump install for the next day. We pick it up, I look it over and what do i find? Coolant everywhere! Nothing they did appeared to be leaking it just looked like coolant spill from performing the job, however why not clean up the mess? This is just sloppy work, that should not occur by a professional technician. They also had a recall on the tailgate lock. They said they replaced a part that can make the lock not work properly. Well, 2 days later and all of a sudden my tailgate no longer locks, xxx! Take it back, they "fix" it and say we are good to go. My faith in this is low, but we will see. I have also had an issue with every oil change they have performed. Whether they get grease in my interior, dont reset oil life screen, spill oil all over the place, or dont grease my front drive shaft as they should, it's always something. At this point I'm confident that Lithia could screw up a wet dream. DO YOU SELF A FAVOR AND SHOP ELSEWHERE! they have no value for your vehicle, or time, and certainly dont have pride in their work. Great We had a bit of a rocky start with service at Lithia. We showed up to view and drive a Jeep and talked to 3 sales people before we connected with Dakota. Dakota has a very calm and patient demeanor and matched our personalities perfectly. He quickly helped us identify where the Jeep was and ultimately helped set up a time to test drive. Dakota always promptly responded to our texts/calls and made himself available when we needed him. He was knowledgeable about the vehicles and was extremely professional and patient through the purchase process. I wish I had an option to rate Dakota specifically through this portal, but I would highly recommend you request Dakota if/when you're interested in any vehicles at this dealership. I will be calling Dakota for my next vehicle purchase as well. More
