I was shocked that a 90k service cost $1,400! We just moved here from California, and I never paid more than $500 for the same service at my Toyota dealership there. Additionally, items such as tire rota moved here from California, and I never paid more than $500 for the same service at my Toyota dealership there. Additionally, items such as tire rotation (that were included in EVERY standard service in CA) are apparently NOT included at Lithia Toyota and cost an additional $15! I didn’t even know to ask for this and was only told after the fact that it wasn’t included. Also, my invoice states that a window wash and interior vacuum was done at no cost; however I received my vehicle only to find these items NOT done. Also, I did not receive any information regarding my tire treads, brake pad wear, fluid levels, etc. that were standard at my previous dealership. Lastly, the associate helping me tried to charge me for a 4x4 service - my car is NOT a 4x4 - and told me that in his 21 years of working there he has never seen a FJ Cruiser that is not a 4x4 … I left not fully understanding what just happened with my car and felt COMPLETELY ripped off! I consistently receive great service here, and the man who helped me did so (with a mask). However, some customers and employees weren’t wearing masks, which puts me in a vulnerable position. I am immunocompromised and unable to fight infections. Covid is a risk to my life. I saw employees with masks half on and pulling them down when they thought no one was watching or near them. It’s an airborne virus - masks don’t work unless it’s done all the way. Toyota should be a safe place for everyone to go for service but what I experienced for an hour waiting was not safe, considerate, or respectful. More
