From online forums I learned it could be a simple as a loose gas cap, or as expensive as finding and fixing an exhaust leak or oxygen sensors. I checked the gas cap myself--no change. They found out it was the gas cap itself. Replaced it; problem solved. They could have easily generated a large diagnostic and bill; they didn't. It satisfies me to trust that they will recommend only what is needed. More

1st time service this was my first visit for service on my new toyota tacoma. I made my reservation online (not the best experience, was difficult to get logged into ) this was my first visit for service on my new toyota tacoma. I made my reservation online (not the best experience, was difficult to get logged into ) I was greeted on time by a very friendly and professional service manager who promptly took care of the paperwork and had me and in and out very quickly. when my vehicle was ready i was texted as requested and had an equally pleasant experience checking out! I'd never installed the Toyota apps on my new car and the salespeople didn't show me much about how to use the options when I bought it 18 months ago. When I brought my car in for the 18 month check-up, I asked if there was someone who could show me how to use the various options in my car. Things were slow and Bart spent a good chunk of time installing the apps and showing me the various options on my car that I didn't know existed. He is a real resource to those of us who aren't as computer savvy as others and I think Lithia Toyota should create a position as an options support specialist for someone like Bart. The only reason I am taking a star off is because the salespeople didn't help me initially with these things. Perhaps a good approach in the future would be to offer electronic options support at the first 6 months check-up. More
