Rodney Kellum drove over to my home with a super-charger and showed me how the regular battery could be charged thru the engine compartment. He charged the battery so it would start, but he noticed it would cut out a bit after being charged so he followed me all the way over to Lithia to be sure the car would keep running til I got there and not shut down. Really service beyond the call of duty. Ken Anderson guided the car thru a service checkup of the whole system. He explained to me how charging system worked for both the hybrid battery and the regular battery. He printed out the guide to getting on-the-road service from Toyota during my 2-year service warranty. He had the battery checked and found it was charging normally and all other indicators appeared normal. He, then, started a full charge routine for the battery; he checked the battery charging indicators to be sure there was not some fault in the battery. The indicators showed that something was wrong with the battery so he had a new battery installed. When that was done, he advised me that because I drove the Rav4-Hybrid so few miles per month that I should try to do some driving on the local interstate to improve the charging of the regular battery. All in all, terrific service! So thank to Rodney and Ken for making my day and proving I made the right choice to be a continuing (I started in 2008) customer of Lithia Toyota, Springfield, OR.
