Damaged Destroyed During Diagnostic We brought our 2005 Chevy cobalt with 112,000 miles with regular upkeep into our mechanic due to engine protection mode otherwise known as limp mode. We brought our 2005 Chevy cobalt with 112,000 miles with regular upkeep into our mechanic due to engine protection mode otherwise known as limp mode. Our mechanic was unable to determine the reason after checking several things and pulling codes on the motor he decided we shoulD send it to LOU BACHRODT The local Chevrolet Dealer here in Rockford. After their service department had it for a lengthy amount of time they called and told me the car was pushed outside due to the chance of it receiving damage due to it running. I was presented with a $420 bill for diagnostics and told the timing chain had jumped. The dealer was kind enough to offer me a refund on the $420. However since they did over $4000 damage during the diagnostics I took that as a slap in the face. Beware of Lou Bachrodt Chevrolet service department! I would steer clear of the dealership completely! I would definitely not recommend this dealership. Beware and go elsewhere! More

Just plain GREEDY! My service call eas at 7:45am its 3 hours later and they charged a $140.00 to check a service engine light that they fixed six months ago. Everybody will check your service engine light for free! They even had the audacity to yell me they had to hold my car until they received payment! I will never step foot in this foxhole again. Thank God i had a 140.00 or otherwise i would have caught a case! Never ever would i say something so stupid to a customer! More
Great Service Experience I had a great experience from the time I called the dealership to when I was leaving with my car. I am not from the city, but was working in town. I took my car in and my service associate was fantastic. His name was Nick. In many dealerships they are more focused on telling me about the service diagnostic fee as if they think I am going to get my diagnosis and leave. Through the entire process Nick was very friendly and explained what they would do. He professionally explained that they would have a fee if it was not warranty and I chose not to fix the car with them, but he did it in a way that made me feel they were trying to do everything to help me. This was on a Friday. they found 1 part that needed to be replaced, but didn't have the other one available. I had to come back and finish the repair. They gave me shuttle service promptly to my work site and in all phases treated me with the utmost sense of urgency and courtesy. I have been to many dealerships and this was my best experience in the last 20 years.. Thank you More
