Brought my Jeep in for a heating concern, dropped it off the night before and got a call almost immediately around 8am which was a shock because most diagnostics pay 1.5 hours. Anyway long story short , got the night before and got a call almost immediately around 8am which was a shock because most diagnostics pay 1.5 hours. Anyway long story short , got quoted almost $3,000 for a heater core replacement. Previously before I had brought my Jeep in , i did some research myself and it’s pretty common issue among wranglers. I work at another car manufacturer without a scan tool that’s capable of accessing Jeep modules, so I relied on them to test the blend door actuator to see if it’s working properly.. without a technician story to go off of (what they tested etc..) I figured I just changed the part because it’s cheap enough. Boom, I had heat again from all vents. It pisses me off that when I specifically asked what procedures were done to verify a heater core replacement the service advisor said the tech tested the blend door. Wrong. I do not appreciate being quoted $3,000 for a part that was $53 to fix my issue. $180 for some half xxx diagnosis. Aside from service , upon picking up my Jeep the cashier was rude in terms of telling me “they don’t like you walking along side of the building” to grab my Jeep. Then why is the customer parking along side the building? Overall this dealership is horrible. More
