We are committed to providing high quality customer service, but based on your DealerRater.com review, you did not share that experience. That is very disappointing to us, and through this program we have the opportunity to work with you to resolve any issues with your experience at our dealership. In questions of trade value, we only use Trade in Market Place (TIM) on our Home page at www.LuteRileyHonda.com . We do not refer anyone to any other trade value sites for just this reason. At TIM you do get a gauraunteed value on the trade. On hold of vehicles: Texas state law requires a monetary deposit in order to take a vehicle 'off-line'/put on hold for someone. This stops discrimination and several other issues from arrising. Since you declined to give a deposit, we could not hold the vehicle. And it did sell before before you arrived. I promise you that Lute Riley Honda did not do this 'on purpose'. Bait & Switch is 'old school' and of course only works when there are suitable alternatives. And as you could tell there were no others even close to the one you were looking at, so it was not possible to bait & switch. We sell over 300 vehicle a month and as you can tell from 100% of our reviews, we do it right. However everyone makes mistakes and accidents happen. On a phone call made by our call center, I was glad to see that you would still consider buying from us if we find another car like the one you were looking at. We are looking for one and will notify you the minute we get one. With a deposit to hold the vehicle, it will be here when you arrive. This customer was offered the opportunity to give a deposit over the phone before coming in. He declined and the car was sold early the same day he was to come in. He also provided a false number that did not allow us to call him before he arrived to notify him of the vehicle being sold. Also, bait and switch does not work unless you have a vehicle to 'switch' to. This was a rare car and the customer was told this. We continue to look for one like what he wanted and if we find one, we will again give the same offer to hold the vehicle with a deposit that is 100% refundable if he comes in and does not like the vehicle.
