Finding a noise in the engine compartment About a week after having my oil, filter, power steering fluid and transmission fluids changed, I noticed a clicking or chirping sound coming from und About a week after having my oil, filter, power steering fluid and transmission fluids changed, I noticed a clicking or chirping sound coming from under the hood. Investigation seemed to indicate the noise coming from vicinity of the power steering unit. Since the recent service involved power steering service, I took the car back to the dealer service department and explained the situation. My service tech Jeff advised me about 30 minutes after I gave the car to service that the noise appeared to be caused by a worn / cracked power steering belt. Recommendation was to replace the belt. I asked why that hadn't been noticed when the power steering fluid was changed and that could not be explained other than perhaps whoever did that service might not have checked the belt with engine running. I authorized changing the belt and Jeff offered to have the cost of doing the diagnostic to find the source of the noise reduced. He was successful in getting a reduction in the charge, perhaps partly because we have been loyal Honda owners for 30 years and Brookdale customers for 14 years. I appreciated Jeff's concern and keeping me advised of what was going on with the car. I have always had great service at Brookdale. No other shop services my car. Good people, reliable, courteous and they keep you informed as to what is going on and how long it will take. And the cookies and muffins in the waiting area don't hurt. Good job everyone. More

Dissatisfied I was told my brakes were fine but as i was driving and i stopped immediately they vibrated. This wasnt an issue before I drove to Honda. Bit on my way to Honda one of their contractors who was dropping off vehicles almlst hit me and in order to avoid a tragedy which he would have created I had to smash down hard and quickly on my brakes while swerving left and almost hitting the middle lane divider. But Honda says everything looks good after my free brake inspection was completed. Usually I receive good service, but my last 2 visits havent had positive results. Plus, there are other factors and incidents that have cause my dislike of Honda services. More

Thorough inspection I went in for an oil change and a cooling system check. Cooling was fine but my suspension was blown, which I didn’t know. Thankfully, the tech caught it and I was able to authorize repair before catastrophic failure. As long as I was there, we did the routine maintenance on my other systems and I took a rental car for the day. It all worked out well. Ben was great at explaining the extended warranty’s coverage, applying discounts that applied, keeping me informed, and making sure I was good before anything got done. I feel confident that I was given honest, quality service. P.S. Former Army mechanic- if I was being fleeced, I’d know. 🤣 More

Next, the consultant that was reviewing the necessary work neglected to hear me when I said the transmission fluid was already changed. She put down that I refused. That’s added poor service. I was told the oil change would be an hour, it was more like 1 1/2 hrs. Prior to this, I had my oil changes and some other work done at this location. I’m less likely to come back More
