I want to thank publicly Eddie in Sales and Mandy the used car manager. When dealing with used cars sometimes situations come up that aren’t ideal for the customer or for the dealership but they did a g used car manager. This will be my last purchase from this dealership and aside from whatever "included" services are in the service contract for maintenance I will not be spending money here. I originally had a 2018 Ma aside from whatever "included" services are in the service contract for maintenance I will not be spending money here. I originally had a 2018 Mazda3 hatchback purchased from this dealership in 2020, serviced at their center for all of maintenance, going no more than 7 months between regular maintenance. I had brought it in for an oil change, steering wheel diagnostics, tire rotation, and battery replacement on the 3rd only to pick it up a week later (after paying $1500) for it to stop on the road the SAME DAY it was picked up. I had to get it towed back to the center only for the diagnostics to say there were metal pieces coming out with the oil they had just replaced. This was strange as it was JUST replaced...Did they not see anything with the old oil they drained? If they didn't, then what happened between when it was serviced and when I picked it up that would cause metal pieces to fall out of the engine? I mean someone would've driven it that day to bring it to me, they didn't see any issues then? I had a lot of questions, but ultimately I had to get a new car. So I informed the service advisor, James, I was working with and they set me up with Ross Haugen in sales. Now I would've imagined there'd be some kind of knowledge transfer on what I had experienced and why I was looking for a new vehicle. If there was, it was poorly done. If there wasn't there needs to be. Ross didn't seem to know I was not "happy" looking for a new vehicle, I had spent 2 hrs in the cold waving traffic while waiting for a tow after their service team did something to my car and I had dropped $1500. And now I have to get a car and monthly payments...I was far from happy. After I recounted my experience with my current car and need for a vehicle Ross went out to "inspect" my current car and determine trade-in value. For a car to go form $9K to $2K in value due to engine issues is one thing, but I knew this dealership was only in it for money when nothing was offered for the fact that I had just paid 1.5K on a new tire, battery and oil change on what they said is only worth 2K now. Ross knew the story, but didn't offer any type of supplementary offer for the inconvenience of the whole issue. Did I not buy a new battery a week prior only to get a comparatively "used" one in the CX-30? Pretty much tells me, yes you will drop 1.5K on fixing/replacing it at end of life, but we don't care, you'll still only get 2K as trade in... Empathy goes a long way, lack of it goes even further. I came to this dealer since they were where I got my first car. I assumed there was an established relationship. Chris is one of the advisors knows and has helped me multiple times. My 2018 hatchback is still saved in their system of sold cars, Ross literally pulled it up on his screen. Might as well be a glorified loan at this point. Yet nothing was done, nothing was offered. Even the finance guy Ben was eyeing me like a shark that just smelled blood- just looking for ways to get more on the service contract. This experience has opened my eyes. I'll be keeping this in mind anytime I visit this dealer for service for sure. I'm disappointed in myself and disgusted with this dealership. I'll be sure to share this experience for the service advisor and any other appropriate platforms. BUYER BEWARE BRING YOUR OWN PRE-APPROVED LOAN OR YOUR JUST CHUM IN THE WATER FOR THEM More

I'm very glad that Alex Rensch was my salesperson as the entire process of test driving, trade in and purchasing took some time, but was very professional, courteous, and above all, thorough. He was always entire process of test driving, trade in and purchasing took some time, but was very professional, courteous, and above all, thorough. He was always upbeat and answered every question I had like a veteran even though this vehicle wasn't one the dealership normally would sell. He did his homework! I was given a fair price on my trade in and no haggling was involved as there was also a bonus $ trade in that I had no idea was going on as well that sealed the deal! Thank you for my new vehicle as I have received so many compliments in just a couple days after purchase, kind of overwhelming. In the future, I would definitely do business with this dealership again. YOU are the right man for this job, Alex, Thanks again! More
Ross was fantastic. He was genuine and kind. Absolutely not pushy. He did the small things that could have very easily been overlooked and been just fine. My 8-year- He was genuine and kind. Absolutely not pushy. He did the small things that could have very easily been overlooked and been just fine. My 8-year-old with the fantastic jokes, he laughs. When she sees the popcorn machine but it's empty? He starts popping. But the thing that really got me was at the end of the sale, when he could have just handed me the keys, said thank you and sent me and my daughter on our way. He gets in the vehicle and starts setting up the communication system for me, so it works with my phone. I was really nervous about all that technology, but he took the time to walk me through it and help me make the decisions so by the time I left the parking lot everything was set up, and I understood things. This is someone that is true and cares not only about the sale but the person. Thank you, Ross, for making my car buying experience one that was not stressful. I will recommend you and the dealership to anyone. More
Recently bought a Mazda CX-5 at this dealer. Isaiah was great—he went out of his way to help me. The issue is with the finance manager. I worked with Anit Dodhia. During the conversation, he con Isaiah was great—he went out of his way to help me. The issue is with the finance manager. I worked with Anit Dodhia. During the conversation, he constantly pressured me into buying the extended warranty. He almost skipped over the cheapest plans and went straight to the more expensive ones. He scared me by saying how risky it could be because these cars could break down and all. It was my first time buying my own car, so I got a little scared. I thought I could trust him and the dealer since they are reputable. However, I started wondering—if what he said was true, that my car could break down randomly on its own, especially the electronics—then perhaps the cars sold at Luther Brookdale aren’t as good as they claim to be? Since according to research, most of electronics related car stuff are issues from manufacturers, and if Luther Brookdale in the beginning was so confident to promise me a high quality car, how come they keep telling me about how “easy” it is for the cars they sell to have issues? Anyhow, I decided to reach out to him that same day to cancel it. However, he told me it was too late because he had already sent it to the bank. Understandable—but he never told me I had the option to cancel later on. Instead, he just tried to get me to keep the extended warranty. When I went home and read over the contract, it clearly stated that I can cancel anytime. I have since reached out to him multiple times, and it’s now almost a week. But every email and every phone call, he always says he will do it “tomorrow” because I still have time. If it’s the weekend, he says he will do it Monday. I have contacted him 4–5 times so far and received 4–5 “tomorrows.” To be honest, it’s frustrating. When I first bought the car, they were all so friendly and welcoming. But now that I want to cancel their services, they are making it difficult—barely replying to my emails or phone calls. So please be aware! I hold proof that I have reached out multiple times since last week and nothing has been done to resolve my problem. It doesn’t make sense for them to take a week just to help a customer cancel their extended warranty. Be careful, perhaps find a different dealership, or a different finance manager. Thank you. More
