Like a cold drink of water in a barren desert. So i scheduled a test drive at another vw dealership in the twin cities metro with a specific vehicle request. When I showed up for the test drive, i was informed the vehicle i was interested in was sold and I became pretty upset that no-one had called to let me know. After walking the lot for a bit, i realized these aren't the folks i want to do business with. So... I went to my car to calm down and assess the situation. I remembered that I had taken a test drive at Luther Brookdale VW about a month earlier and the sales guy (Preston) that had helped me was friendly. So I drove over and parked my car amongst the cars for sales so i could look at inventory as if I was a ninja. I found a couple cars I liked, so i went to grab a salesperson. Garrett's desk is right next to the side door I entered, so i said hi and we sat down at his desk. We looked at a couple of the cars that had caught my eye and decided to take a 2015 Jetta SE for a spin. I liked the car so i agreed to buy it. Financing was already set up through my credit union, but we tried through vw credit as well. VW credit had a higher apr, so i had to decline, but Jennifer in finance was cool about it and got me in and out. The next day, i returned to take delivery of the Jetta and Garrett helped me synchronize my Bluetooth and had arranged for a set of carpet mats in the trunk. The vehicle already came with rubber winter mats, but i like carpet in the summer. He didn't have to do that, but it showed me he cares. The gti was a bit more expensive than I could afford, and I knew this going into it, but he still let me test drive one and learn more about the car. It was a fantastic experience. For example, they allowed me to use my own mounting solution for the front plate of the car, instead of drilling through the bumper like most dealerships would. They understand that a car isn't just a tool to some people. Otis was awesome, and did a great job taking care of everything, answering all my questions and concerns, or finding the right person if he could not (I had a few technical questions and we talked to the guys in the shop). I will definitely be back here for me or my wife's next vehicle. Just all around awesome customer service. More
