Great purchase experience Luther Westside Volkswagen had exactly the car I was looking for online but the price was a bit too high for me. Since I had a good feeling about the Luther Westside Volkswagen had exactly the car I was looking for online but the price was a bit too high for me. Since I had a good feeling about the integrity of this dealership when speaking to them on the phone, I did not hesitate to share my cell phone so that they could stay in touch with me. It turns out that they got back me about a week later to let me know bout a price drop on that particular vehicle. The price came down where I needed to be, so I decided to commit. Since I live 750 miles away, I had to trust Brian, the sales representative and I am glad I did because the car I received today is better than I expected. I clearly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a car... More

FABULOUS! Took me in without an appt. with min. wait time! A light went on and I couldn't figure out what it was for, but not knowing scared me so I went to the dealership (without an appointment). They took me right in and within moments told me they thought the problem might be low air pressure in the tires.. turned out to be a nail in one. I purchased the tires there about a year ago so the replacement tire was covered. They topped off the fluids and checked things over (since I am a techno peasant) and sent me on my way. THANK YOU SO MUCH... More
Bad cell with the battery Excellent customer service. I pulled into a gas station and after getting gas the car would not start. I assumed it was a bad battery, the car is a 2017 and called Westside. They told me if I could get someone to jump the car and get to the dealer before 5 pm they could check it out and replace the battery if that was the problem. I was able to get a jump at the gas station and arrived at Westside at 4:45 pm. Derek the service advisor was very helpful and service was able to verify that the battery had a bad cell and replaced it under warranty. All of this was done in a little over an hour plus they washed the car. They finished in plenty of time for me to head to the airport and pick up relatives visiting for the holidays. Great experience and thank you for helping me out on such a short notice! More

Took the time to help me get the right car. I went to Westside to look for a TDI Jetta wagon. I had done my research and pretty much knew what I wanted. Helton (sales guy) did an amazing job I went to Westside to look for a TDI Jetta wagon. I had done my research and pretty much knew what I wanted. Helton (sales guy) did an amazing job of working with me to find what I wanted. I was very picky and took several months of searching to find the right vehicle, but at no time was Helton pushy or trying to get me into a car that I wasn't interested in. He knew my criteria and would only contact me when he knew a vehicle that fit those criteria was on the lot. Through delivery of the car and meeting other dealership staff, I'm hopeful that this sort of great service will be continued in all the after sale support one expects as well. I highly recomend talking to Helton and Westside VW. More

Their sales staff is awesome and work as a team (thanks, Brian and Jeramiah), and they were super helpful in getting us through a lease transition. Gave us great value, but even more importantly we’re willing to listen to us and get us into the auto we wanted... not what was best for them. Very appreciative. Customers for life. More

I like the car just not the ordeal to make the car mine I was looking for a specific car and the closest dealer that had one of them was Luther Westside. I live several states away so I phoned the dealership. The salesperson was nice and helpful and told me that the car was on the lot. After getting some information beyond what the dealer website showed, and after figuring out the logistics of purchasing a car hundreds of miles away, I phoned back to put a down payment on the car. As I had checked transportation schedules and had my travel plans all worked out, I let the salesperson know about the details of my trip, which was several days out. My plan was to arrive at the dealership early in the morning, process the paperwork and drive home the same day. My travel to Luther Westside went exactly as planned and I arrived shortly after they opened on the agreed-to day. Unfortunately, the car was not ready nor was most of the paperwork. While the salesperson and the finance person worked to get everything done as quickly as possible, I was still at the dealership much longer than I should have been. And then there was the problem with the title, license plate and registration. The dealership did not allow me to handle the title transfer and license/registration myself in my home state. They insisted that a third-party company with whom they contract handle those details. I was told that I would receive everything within thirty days. The salesperson put a thirty-day in-transit sticker in the back window of the car and told me that I was good to go. Subsequent to driving the car home (late that night), I did not feel comfortable about driving the car since I didn't officially own it. So I parked it. Fortunately, my old car had not yet sold so I could continue driving it. While in storage, I checked the car over. I found cosmolene on the exterior bodywork and protective plastic from the the back seats that had not been completely removed. The registration and license plate finally arrived--thirty two days after I brought the car home. So, had I been driving the car, I would have been illegal for two days. And then two weeks later, the title arrived. More than six weeks to complete the purchase process that Luther Westside had foisted on me. That is completely unacceptable. Forty five days after driving the car home I could finally say that the car is mine and I could drive it. And when I tried doing the "Sales Experience Survey," which the salesperson had previously asked me to fill in with only the highest ratings, I was told that it had expired and could not be re-sent to me. I am glad that I do not live close to the Twin Cities, so I never need to consider going to Luther Westside for service work or parts. Fortunately, I have a good VW dealer in my area. More
