Excellent service Xpress, diagnosis, and fixing the problem When I drove my car yesterday, it was shaking and the dash showed an icon and EPA, so I drove immediately to Luther VW. The intake woman decided to h When I drove my car yesterday, it was shaking and the dash showed an icon and EPA, so I drove immediately to Luther VW. The intake woman decided to have Dillon do the diagnosis, as he had installed a new oil pump a few days earlier. Within about 30 minutes, Dillon showed me a faulty coil for starting a spark plug and told me what it would cost to replace it. Although the other coils weren't faulty, he said I could have all replaced and cited the cost. Because I want a reliable car and don't want to bring it in whenever the dash lights, I opted for replacing all the coils. Within 30 minutes, that job was done. I offer high praise for the woman in Xpress and Dillon for excellent service, as well as the young cashier who didn't have a nametag and whose name I forgot to ask. More

I had my front brake pads replaced (I declined rotor replacement as they were fine) & needed new tires. She gave me 3 different options of tires and recommended the ones she felt were best all around (price included). She gave me all of the information about the tires as I wanted to do a price compare. She also had printed off my entire service history at VW and gave me a copy. She had reviewed the history prior to my arrival so she knew what had been done and when. She was extremely thorough, organized, timely, friendly and professional. I very much appreciated her excellent service and have never had service quite like that. Thanks Lynn and VW! More

Terrible service My wife brought our new Jetta in for its first oil change. The car had less than 4000 miles on it. Reminder light said oil change due at 3000 miles. The service consultant was rude saying it was too early and gave her a hard time. They said it wasn't due until 10,000 miles. Well someone at your shop must have programmed the car to remind us it was due at 3000 miles!!! She was not even acknowledged as the owner of the car. They kept calling my name when it was done and texting me and emailing me. My wife is on the loan and car title too. I'm totally disgusted with the poor service. I even question if the oil change was done properly. I expected much more. I will not be having any further service done at Luther Westside, nor would I recommend them for anything. More

EVERY person helpful and welcoming and instructive. When I entered Service XPress, the floor crew were at my window almost immediately and recognized that the dashboard icons meant possible trouble. Dillon offered to do a diagnostic immediately, taking about an hour. He then explained to me about the leak in an oil pump and that the work would take about five hours. He lined up a ride for me, and Jim was friendly and welcoming and great to talk with. I admire his work in his hardware stores over the years. Later in the day I had a phone call with a full explanation of what was wrong and the urgency of a replacement, as well as the cost. Then came a call and an email saying that my car was ready, an invoice I could pay online, a confirmation of payment. I called for a ride and Brian showed up in the "ride" van very soon, and I appreciated him as well. When I went to the cashier's desk, again I was treated well and with respect. On the first day there, that one hour, I enjoyed coffee and treats. A friend later told me that it was a very good $1,100 lunch. It does make a difference, the hospitality, the access to the Star Tribune. I am grateful for all of it. During my growing-up years in Minot, ND, my dad was office manager of a Chevrolet dealership, and my brother and I were "adopted" by all the mechanics, so we loved visiting the garage and getting a greeting from those men. I guess it's that small-town "feel" that Luther VW has that I really appreciate, as well as excellent work on my car. Warmly and in gratitude, Shelby Andress. More
