I had a cut tire that need replacing. It was a flatless tire so I didnt get stranded. Got it home and had it towed in for replacement. Cost was reasonable and service dept. folks are great. My buying experience was outstanding the first time two years ago that when it came time to buy another vehicle I didn't think twice about where I was going to purchase from. Truthfully Mini is the only vehicle brand I have bought more than once in my lifespan of vehicle purchases and when I leased my Countryman in 2018 I knew I would most likely be in for a third Mini lease/purchase. I was delighted that Taylor Ricks is still part of the team at the dealership here in Austin and what started out as an exploratory call to see if he could help get me into a newer vehicle ultimately tuned into a quick, easy buying experience. Taylor understood all my needs, especially as a new dad and remembered what was important to me in terms of features from my purchase/lease two years ago. Without even having to scour the lot he had the perfect Countryman lined up and ready to present to me when I showed up for my appointment with him. Taylor is an absolute professional and let me guide the process while being super helpful while coming down to a price on the vehicle that fit my budget and needs. If you find yourself at Mini of Austin, do yourself a favor and ask for Taylor, you will NOT be disappointed and don't be surprised if you walk out the same day with a new Mini - trust me you won't regret it. Great service Department helped me understand what was wrong with Frank and I appreciated the communication the most. Colby made it very easy to just drop the car off and not worry ab hidden fees. I made an advance appointment for service for my leased Mini with the express understanding that I needed a loaner as I was told that the appointment would take a minimum of a half a day. I live out of to Mini with the express understanding that I needed a loaner as I was told that the appointment would take a minimum of a half a day. I live out of town and traveled an hour to the dealership for the appointment. After I was checked in, and I asked the service liason if he needed my insurance card for the loaner - he then informed me that they did not have any loaners available. I reiterated that I had made the appointment for a time that they could assure me a loaner. I then asked why they did not inform me in advance that a loaner was not available. I took the time off from work, traveled an hour to the dealership. I feel they have no regard for my time or inconvenience that they have caused me. More
Went in for an oil change and also ended up needing a new belt. Received a video of the multi-point inspection that clearly showed the worn belt while I was waiting. The excitement about taking delivery of a new vehicle is usually spoiled by the purchasing experience. Not this time, the negotiation went smooth although 200 miles separated my place from the dealership. T usually spoiled by the purchasing experience. Even signing all financial docs was speedy, to the point, no forced additional sales, and no surprises. So my commendations to the staff of Mini of Austin. They walk the talk….literally.
