I had a highly disappointing experience with the service department at Mini of Montgomery. On October 5, 2024, I brought my MINI in for an alignment issue that had already caused uneven tire wear. I initial department at Mini of Montgomery. On October 5, 2024, I brought my MINI in for an alignment issue that had already caused uneven tire wear. I initially took the car to NTB, who was unable to adjust the alignment properly and advised me to take it to the dealership for correction. At Mini of Montgomery, my son met with Mr. Raul, who promised the alignment would be fixed. After the service, we received a message stating the repairs were completed. However, after reviewing the alignment report, it was clear that the camber had not only remained uncorrected but had worsened. The technician marked the job as complete without making the necessary adjustments or informing us that additional parts (like the control arm) needed replacing. To make matters worse, when we followed up with the service advisors, they confirmed that the car could not be properly aligned without replacing the control arm—which was never communicated to us beforehand. I need to take my car to another service provider for the third time to resolve this issue. I contacted the General Manager, Nicholas Kuhar, to request a refund for the incomplete service because I no longer trust the technician or the service provided. His response was to offer a free alignment after replacing the control arm. Still, given the poor communication and dishonesty I've experienced, I do not feel comfortable returning to this dealership. Based on this experience, I would not recommend the service department at Mini of Montgomery. They failed to fix the original issue and neglected to communicate essential information, causing me to waste more time and money. More
I've had my 2014 Mini regularly serviced there for the past couple of years, although I had not purchased it there. Their service last week though was amazing! Mini had died in my driveway with an obvious past couple of years, although I had not purchased it there. Their service last week though was amazing! Mini had died in my driveway with an obvious fuel leak, would not run, and reeked of gasoline. I had it towed there after-hours on a Friday night anticipating an expensive repair. Raul called me the next morning, told me they were working on the problem. He called me a couple of hours later and explained that a fuel line had become disconnected from the high pressure fuel pump. They'd reconnected the line, cleaned the gasoline spill from the engine compartment, road tested it, even washed the car, and refused to take any payment saying it was too minor. Wow! Talk about integrity in the auto repair business! This dealership is the best. More
My family's introduction to this dealership was initially via email inquiry to their Service Department on a used Mini as a first vehicle for our teenage daughter. While the Mini was for sale at a different via email inquiry to their Service Department on a used Mini as a first vehicle for our teenage daughter. While the Mini was for sale at a different non-Mini dealership, the Service Advisor (Raul) responded to my email and questions on recommended repairs to the vehicle. Without this information, we potentially may have purchased a vehicle requiring more in critical/expensive repairs than the selling price of the vehicle. We were so impressed with the Service Advisor's assistance and concern for our daughter that we went to the dealership to personally meet and thank him. Raul was professional and well-versed on the required repairs as well as other repairs I had researched on my own. I have to say that after years of dealing with service departments of different vehicles we have owned (Chevrolet, Infinity, Ford, Acura, Harley, etc.), this was by far the nicest and most concerned Service Advisor we have ever met. We are still looking for the right used Mini and this would be the dealership we want to work with going forward. We also met one of the Customer Service Motoring Advisor's (Jimmy) and he answered all of our questions on various models/features on the Mini lineup. Again, another professional, friendly, no-pressure discussion which was beyond refreshing given our past experience with other dealerships and sales personnel. Kudos Mini of Montgomery County! More
I went with my car to this dealer to do the corresponding service and try to fix a sticker that was starting to take off (my car is a JCW GP2 and has several original stickers because it is a special edition service and try to fix a sticker that was starting to take off (my car is a JCW GP2 and has several original stickers because it is a special edition) the solution they gave me was to go to another place (other than mini) where they could give a protective layer to the paint and stickers (so far so good). The next day I realized that what was starting to take off..... now I had a BROKEN. The car didn't have it like that when it arrived at the service. Nobody told me that they made a mistake. I found it. Gentlemen, that is not done. More
Mini can only be serviced at a Mini dealer. Cost of service much higher than other service stations. I regret buying a Mini and don’t recommend it. My mini (2013) has less than 30,000 miles. Cost of service much higher than other service stations. I regret buying a Mini and don’t recommend it. My mini (2013) has less than 30,000 miles. has had many service issues. The latest is the AC. Less tan 400 miles ago, I brought it in for repair. The reason for the lack of AC hadn’t been found, but cost over $173 for the diagnosis. I brought my 1924 Subaru in for lack of AC to a local service station a week after bringing the Mini in for AC repair. For the same dye diagnosis the charge was $114. My Mini is again at the dealership, less than 400 miles since the AC diagnosis, because the A C isn’t working. Will never purchase a Mini again!! More

They tore my car seat and refuse to correct the problem I took my 10 year old Mini Cooper convertible with only 55,000 miles in for a recall which had to do with replacing a sensor in the passenger seat. T I took my 10 year old Mini Cooper convertible with only 55,000 miles in for a recall which had to do with replacing a sensor in the passenger seat. The dealership tore my leather seat cover in the process. They replaced the seat cover with a brand new cover but as a new cover, it does not match the 10 year old leather seat covers on the back of the passenger seat nor the driver's entire seat. Although the service manager tried a number of things to return the seats to the matched condition they were in when I took the car in for the recall, his attempts failed. The only thing to be done at this point is to replace all seat covers with 4 new seat covers. The dealership has refused to do this as they claim it is Mini USA's problem because they are the ones who issued the recall. According to the dealership, Mini USA refused because my car is 10 years old. I have been a very happy Mini owner for 10 years but am now getting penalized for being such a loyal Mini owner. I can not begin to understand how they can ruin a seat cover and think that I should suffer the consequences of their actions. My car is now worth less and the interior looks terrible. No amount of reasonable conversation has persuaded them otherwise. I am dumbfounded by the treatment I have received. More
TJ and Danny Bad Customer Service My point of writing this review was not just to get my car fixed. TJ and DANNY had some of the worst customer service I've experienced in my LIFE! Aft My point of writing this review was not just to get my car fixed. TJ and DANNY had some of the worst customer service I've experienced in my LIFE! After telling me that they didn't break my car over and over again. I left to speak to my mother on the phone. TJ came outside and walked up to me and asked me did I have a problem with him. At this point, I did not Feel safe. I felt threatened. I immediately told him to get away from me else I would call the police. TJ kept saying "we are fixing your car what more do you want us to do" He did not apologize. I even saw him laughing while sitting at his desk . He needs to be TRAINED on customer service and how to deal with Situations like these. More
Incompetent Towed my car in as it stopped working at an intersection. The lady service tech said " we'd take a look at it BUT you gotta pay us $134.00" No problem Towed my car in as it stopped working at an intersection. The lady service tech said " we'd take a look at it BUT you gotta pay us $134.00" No problem as I had no other choice. On the phone the next day she tells me the timing chain was kaput . I asked her specifically what else could also be broken since I did not want to spend $5k on a '06 mini. Standard answer is we don't know till we open it up. Again I asked, in her expertise opinion, what has her experience been? Well people, two days later she calls back with a list of over $5K. I asked then to put it back together as I wanted a second opinion. After paying $1300.00 for a part she said I ordered and car still not running, I towed the car to another mini/bmw guys and they straight out told me it would be a waist of money at this point. On top of all that, the car was not put back together, and everything was left in the trunk . They lie to get you hooked and then once the gut is open tell you " oh yea, others problem with your car". What kind of mini service are you guys. A corner mechanic shop knows more than these guys.
