Made an appointment for an oil leak and to do my 50,000 service for a Saturday morning. Dropped my truck off Friday afternoon with the service advisor. Bad experience! Replace transmission the service manager (Matt) used the bait and switch sales technique. Compared a local transmission business price vs Ford dealership price which was a better price to g (Matt) used the bait and switch sales technique. Matt matched the price and stated the transmission had a lifetime warranty. The local transmission shop could not match the lifetime warranty. I'm not a mechanical person who knows about transmissions. I spoke with my close friend who is very knowledgeable about transmissions and had two transmissions replaced in his own vehicles. He recommended going with the Ford dealership "only due to the lifetime warranty." I was called when the transmission arrived at the dealership (arrived within 1-2 weeks). Many unexplained delays by the service sales person and he raised the price up to the original quote after some additional parts were needed. "The service mangers are sales people who are on commission based on revenue they make in the service department." You can Google this information. I called the general manager of service about the delays and the increase in price. I told the general manager it was a bait and switch and the delays were unacceptable. He stated "the sales person don't use" that technique in the service department. He was going to investigate and call me back---he never called me again. Lastly, I went to pick the vehicle and once I paid the invoice, the service salesperson said the warranty was only for 3 years and I believe a 100,000 miles. Another bait and switch.....I'll never use this ford dealership again!! This dealership only cares about the bottom line, they don't care about customer service. More
