While the Toms River Kia was unprofessional at best, Manahawkin Kia could not have been more professional. We detailed what we wanted in a car and our salesperson, Cary Gardner, never once took her eye off the ball. She was professional, intelligent and incredibly car savvy. Her demeanor was relaxed and confident, which in turn, made us relaxed and confident in her abilities. We knew exactly what we could afford and Cary and Blaise worked with us until we had everything we wanted at a price we could afford. No high pressure sales here. We could not have been happier with the ease of operations each step of the way......not one missed step with this exceptionally professional team. Eric Gardner was a delight to work with; no fumbling or fiddling with papers all over the place, just a clear and concise overview of each document we were about to sign! Should you be interested in a Kia, we strongly recommend Manahawkin Kia for an experience you will never forget. Manahawkin Kia sets the standard to which ALL dealerships should be held. Easy to work with, no pressure I came to this dealership with a car in mind that I picked by shopping the website. I came with a check in hand, already financed through Lending Tree I came to this dealership with a car in mind that I picked by shopping the website. I came with a check in hand, already financed through Lending Tree. The car I was interested in was already sold. Jon showed me a newer model with very low mileage that was in excellent shape. Mike in finance felt he could get me a better deal through his financing and I gave him the ok to do so. He came back with a better rate that I had obtained on my own. I got a pre-owned certified 2013 Kia Forte, with 27k miles. With it I got bumper to bumper warranty and roadside assistance and free oil changes. Although I was excited to get a nicer car, I dreaded the search and usual sales tactics used when you go into a dealer. I was pleasantly surprised that the style here was not like that at all, it was a good experience and I highly recommend them. More
Awesome, easy deal. after going online to see what the local dealers had used on their lots, I noticed that our local Kia dealer had a 2009 Audi A4 turbo in my price rang after going online to see what the local dealers had used on their lots, I noticed that our local Kia dealer had a 2009 Audi A4 turbo in my price range. Not having the best of credit but having a 2007 VW Passat 2.0 turbo to turn in against it I thought I might have a chance. I walked in and spoke to Jon Brooks, a younger guy with a really bad Christmas sweater on..lol they all did...Jon let me take the Audi for a test drive and I was sold on it. Now it was the finance area guys in their ugly sweaters to make things roll. After quite a few phone calls, they figured things out for me in a range I wanted, all I had to do was come back the next day with paperwork, as always and a good look over now that it stopped raining. I wanted it badly and they knew it.they got it hooked up for me, a few tweets in the garage and a little training in Audi style and I'm all set. Still needs some tweaking on some things but I'm really happy with everyone, especially Jon, at the Manahawkin Kia and would recommend it to anyone buying new or used...they will go the distance for you.. Poor repair service We had a problem with a repair that did not fix the problem we brought the car in for. They are suppose to pre and post test the car. If they had taken the car for a drive after their repair, they would have realized the car was not different and still had major problems. We paid for work that possibly wasn't necessary. We made them look at the car again, and they then determined the problem was the tires all along. We were not happy, since we just paid over 600 dollars. Now they wanted more money for 4 new tires to resolve the problem. We spoke to the Service supervisor and he said he would look into the problem and get back to us. We waited 2 wks through the holidays to get a call. We called the office multiple times to find he wasn't available. Today we were told he'd call in 1/2 hr...well we are still waiting. This is not a great way to start the New Year. We have found the service to be extremely under par and unreliable when it come to repairs. They can't even be bothered to get back to their customers when they say they will... More
Al is the man! Al Angelo is very knowledgable in all things car related, not just Kia. He answered all of our questions, explained everything to us, and we told him Al Angelo is very knowledgable in all things car related, not just Kia. We had been putting off car shopping due to stress of dealing with sales associates at other dealerships in the past but thanks to Al we had an easy going and great time.
