We live approx 90 minutes from Mankato so I sent them an email regarding our interest in the Edge. Our to-be sales associate Cary Rentschler replied very shortly via email and acknowledged our interest in the car. We couldn't get a chance to test drive til the following week and Cary kept us informed of the availability of the car over the weekend. He asked if we needed financing or trade in. Told Cary we would be trading in our Honda. As we arrived the following Monday, Cary spotted us right away. He and his staff did a great job of informing us about the vehicles past history and car fax. Buying a car can be a bit stressful but Cary and his staff take stress and pressure off the table. Not only are they good at what they do but provide what I like to call Neighborly service. Kind, welcoming, no pressure. I bought a 2002 Volkswagen Passat with 40,000 miles for $8300 after tax/title/license. I am a recent college grad and this was my first experience buying a car. Gary is nice and goes the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase and have his contact information for any future needs. Mankato Motor Co claims to be a "bottom dollar dealer," but I paid about $700 (sticker price) more than what the vehicle was listed on NADA and KBB. Gary wasn't willing to negotiate the price. The service department employees were friendly and serviced the car to my needs before I took it off the lot. They even offer free car washes for life for all vehicles purchased at MMC. Although I feel I slightly overpaid, I am satisfied with my purchase and enjoy the car every time I take it out. I would recommend Mankato Motor Company for your vehicle purchase. More

A few months ago I paid a visit to Mankato Motors in search of a Nissan Juke. I had never been to Mankato Motors before and when I entered the building I was greeted by their friendly receptionist who s search of a Nissan Juke. From the start, Jason was a delight to work with on my purchase. He was knowledgeable and very patient with me and all of my questions. After the test drive I knew I wanted a Juke. Jason kept me informed as Mankato Motors searched for the exact model, options, and colors I desired. Through this whole process much of the deal was able to be done via email, phone, or internet which was really handy. The use of today’s technology allowed me to contact Jason when it was convenient for me as well as it didn’t require me to make the 80 mile round trip to Mankato. When it came to signing the dotted line, Jason met at a convenient location which I really appreciated. When I picked up my Juke, he spent a lot of time with me and was awesome at showing me how to use all the gadgets and features in my new vehicle. My wife generally doesn't partake in the whole test drive experience, but she did with Mike! I was impressed. The sales managers gave my an very fair offer for my trade and were straight forward with the sales transaction. When I told them I needed more time to process, there was no pressure, just told me to take my time. Mike wanted me to be 100% comfortable with everything. Everyone else that I spoke with at the dealership was just as nice to talk with. I was a bit skeptical about the "one price/no dicker sticker" thing but the deal was very competitive and my trade was given a fair offer. I would not hesitate to buy a car here again.
