My 2015 Subaru Legacy consumes oil and I find this totally unacceptable. I realize it has a flat (boxer) engine, of which some have the tendency to consume oil, but for a standard, non-high performance vehicle, this really perturbs me and it seems that Maple Hill doesn't give a xxxx. Under normal driving conditions, the "low oil light" comes on after 3,000 miles from the last oil change, and the service dept. adds 1 QT of synthetic oil. They charge me $9 which, with all due respect, should have been a no-charge expense. When trying to get answers, I am told that this is "normal". It doesn't seem normal to me and I requested Cassandra to have Jeff (service manager) call me back, which he did not do. The Subaru drives great but, with the potential for oil consumption and the belt-driven CVT transmission as their only option, I doubt very seriously I will be purchasing another Subaru in the future. Admittedly, it was a very complicated situation involving a hole in the radiator and loss of fluids, causing the engine to seize up, and involved a lot of negotiation with the insurance adjuster over a period of weeks. (We were very relieved when the determination was made that it would be covered by comprehensive). We got the car back after 29 days, with many new parts, including a newish engine. We realize the service center was very busy during the month, and the pandemic complicates everything. The repair work seems to have been competently done. The car is running well and we're very happy to have it back. Everyone we dealt with at MHAG was professional in their communications. More
I had a tremendously good experience purchasing our Subaru Forester. Working with Jacob Prieto was a pleasure. He was calm and not pushy. He didn't shame me or play on my emotions or ego to try and sell me a vehicle. He answered questions honestly, looked up info when he did not know it off-hand, and let us experience the vehicle in our own time and pace. So far we have had no problems working with Maple Hill Auto Group More
