While it was repaired, it became clear the day before he and his girlfriend had to return to Houghton that it was no longer safe to drive. I had not planned on replacing his car so soon, but you do what you must to keep your kids safe. I wanted him to have the same security my wife and I have learned to love in the Eyesight System in our Outback. The day he was supposed to leave, with the help of staff at Maple Hill, we were able to get them on the road with a new CrossTrek. It was 3:00 PM and we knew they would have to drive well into the night to get back to school. My son texted me when they crossed the Bridge and said he would text me when they arrived. I was not awake when they got in, but I opened my text app in the morning to find the following: 7:57 PM Made it past the bridge. Decided the car's name is Ricky 1:37 AM Made it to Houghton fine. Got 40.2 mpg. Ricky stopped us from hitting a bear that jumped out from the bush on the Seeney stretch to. I laughed and cried most of the morning thinking about the incident. We love our Subarus even more now. Thanks so much to the staff for helping us get our son on the road in such a short amount of time with a very safe vehicle. Steve Norton More
