Showed us the car and was low pressure. However, after I purchased I found a deep scratch and emailed Tony inquiring about touch up paint as the car was not a common color. No response. Not even a reply to tell me they can't get it. That's disappointing. Get your commission and be done with me. Lance was great. He took care of me on the day I purchased the car as Tony was on vacation. Everything was perfect. More

Among more expensive work, I was told that lightbulbs needed to be replaced, but when I collected the car, lights were not working. I am now concerned that more significant internal repairs were not carried out any better than their visible cosmetic repairs. Maple Hill likes to charge a premium price, but the service is not premium. More

I have never experienced at a flagged brand dealership the type of raw, rude, unpleasant experience I had at Maple Hill Volkswagen today. In my history as a driver, every time I've been out of town and had some sort of emergency the local dealer wherever I have been has at least made some attempt to assist. At Maple Hill, driving a 2014 VW CC which became disabled on my trip, I asked if basic diagnostics could be done "today or tomorrow." "No, we can get a code but that's it and you already have the code. We have people who have been waiting for weeks." "So you can't provide any level of assistance to a Volkswagen owner who is far from home and has an emergency?" "No." While I understand the current shortage of parts and labor, factors which were not discussed yet I must assume, I was surprised at the difference I experienced at Maple Hill vs. every other dealer I've ever needed while out-of-town in the last 30 years. "So, let me get this straight, in order to get diagnostics I have to take the car somewhere else?" "I'll open the door for you," followed by the whoosh of the service door as I was essentially instructed to go jump in a lake. There is a value in knowing a particular brand has your back if you're on the road and chips are down. I have never experienced this before, not with Infiniti, Jaguar or Volvo. I wasn't asking for Maple Hill VW to move every other car out of the way and take care of whatever mine needed right now, I wanted basic diagnostics in the next day or so - not a tremendous ask when you're far from home in an emergency. This is not the culture of Maple Hill Volkswagen, and that's genuinely sad. I imagine if you're a local and have the gift of plenty of time they'll be fine to deal with, or I'd hope. But when you're on the road and in trouble, Maple Hill Volkswagen has no concern to share with VW owners on their worst days. Maple Hill Auto Group is free to enforce rigid policies delivered with blank stares. They can set their service level floor in any setting, including travelers with an emergency. It's a terrible mark for the VW family, as I would have expected and have received better under the protection of several other brand flags. I get it, whatever happens to my CC isn't going to affect Maple Hill Auto Group's balance sheet either way. Instances of horrendous customer service tend to be an indicator of direction in company culture, so I feel very sorry for future customers if this is the brand standard Maple Hill Auto Group is allowing to fester in its service department.
