I took my '24 Miata RF here for its 5000 mi service + DSC / ABS module recall in November 2025. Claudia checked me in, I waited 2 hours, after which service was seemingly completed and I was on my way. Experience seemed pleasant enough at the time. Fast forward to May 2026 and DMV tells me I can't renew my registration because I need to submit "Proof of Correction" of the recall campaign first. I wasn't sure what kind of proof that was meant to be. I went to the NHTSA recall website, and also Mazda's own recall website (mazdarecallinfo.com) and typed in my VIN and lo and behold: they list my car as unrepaired. Mazda has no evidence the recall was addressed, no claim was submitted. Confused, I went back and looked at the repair order from Marin that November day, and sure enough, there's no documentation of the repair procedure. It notes "Customer requests DSC recall service" ... but then doesn't document any actual recall service performed. Unbelievable. It seems they did do the normal 5000 mi service items, based on the repair order, but they stopped there. I probably should have scrutinized the paperwork more closely at the time, but I had no immediate reason to doubt them when they said both services were performed. Since Hansel Mazda recently opened much closer to me, I took my car there and they confirmed the recall item was still open. They performed the recall service on my car the next day, and provided a bunch of documentation I never got from Marin. I would caution anyone deciding to take their car here to very carefully verify the work they claim to perform. But personally I will never go back to Marin again. More
My wife and I purchased a certified preowned 2025 CX-50 yesterday at Marin Mazda yesterday, it looks even better in our driveway this morning! I had called the G. M. Mohammed the previous day and he made o yesterday at Marin Mazda yesterday, it looks even better in our driveway this morning! I had called the G. M. Mohammed the previous day and he made our appointment for the following morning. When we arrived, Franco was assigned to show/help us with anything needed. We had done our research and had a few different models in mind, so Franco took us around. We narrowed it down to the CX-50 or CX5. After checking out the cars thoroughly Franco told us there was one that wasn't in the website list and at the detailer shop a few blocks away. He let us test drive the red CX-50 to go see the second (White) CX-50. No pressure, just great service and information. When we got back to the dealership, Franco brought up the Carfax report on his computer and said "look it over" while he left to do something else and carfax said "great deal" on pricing. We told Franco and Mohammed we needed to go discuss options over lunch and went to the Croissant diner a couple blocks away. Much discussion over lunch and decided that we would purchase the fancier Red one if under X amount, but could be very happy with the White (less expensive) one if need be. Back to the dealership, explained what we decided, and made an offer on the fancier red one just a touch under asking price since we knew the price was already very good. Mohammed met us half way (which was very nice since we were prepared to pay asking) so we got a couple hundred off on 34 k asking price. Just a part of bargaining, but it felt good to "do the dance" with offer! Off to Ahmed at financing. Ahmed was very happy, social guy. Explained all the options, legalities, lots of signatures... I must note that Ahmed was not put off when I declined one warranty but did explain the benefit vs risk vs cost equation so we took 1 warranty (7 rr.) and 1 service agreement for 2 yrs oil changes at Putnam Mazda closer to our house. I does take a good bit of time to go over everything to register, insure, document the purchase, BUT way, way better than going to DMV! So, my thanks to Mohammed, Franco and Ahmed. My wife and I are VERY happy with all the employees at Marin Mazda and would not hesitate to recommend. The old adage of beware of used car dealers DOES NOT apply to this group! We feel great about purchase, feel good about their honesty and patience with us. A definite Win-Win for both of us. Thank you Marin Mazda, and by the way, my name is Tim, my wife is Lelyn and we are not AI or chat bots or anything else but retired human beings. More
Dealers were nice (of course, what else would they be? ) But 2025 Mazda cx50 is a lemon. 6 months old and it wouldn't start. Took the service department 3 weeks to diagnose problem. No apology and no offer ) But 2025 Mazda cx50 is a lemon. 6 months old and it wouldn't start. Took the service department 3 weeks to diagnose problem. No apology and no offer of a loaner car. Told part would take 3 months. Mazda corporate expidited to 4 weeks after my phone calls but service department couldn't be bothered to try that. Shouldn't have happened in a new car. Advise buy toyota; more reliable and better service. More
We used to love this Mazda Service Center. The staff was accommodating and the prices weren't outrageous for a dealership, and they tracked our service records. However, this last "routine" v The staff was accommodating and the prices weren't outrageous for a dealership, and they tracked our service records. However, this last "routine" visit cost us almost $1000 for a routine service. The "service" attendant originally wanted to charge $900 for services including transmission fluids, which I mentioned had just been repaired on our last visit. So he removed that. Our estimate was then down to $500ish.Nothing major, just fluids and filters. He then called my wife to add filters and other minor services. It turned out to be over $700 in labor! We will not be going back to this service center. More

Horrible communication. They ran my credit and got loan approval. Then sold the car out from under me. What a horrible way to treat customers.
