They disappointed me this time! Past service experiences with Mark McLarty Ford have been excellent, but this last time they disappointed me. I was given a 9:00 A.M. appointment to h Past service experiences with Mark McLarty Ford have been excellent, but this last time they disappointed me. I was given a 9:00 A.M. appointment to have my air conditioning repaired. When asked if I was going to wait on it, I said no, but that after dropping off the vehicle my wife and I were going on up to the Air Force base to do some shopping for 2-3 hours and we would like to pick it up on the way back. When I called just before noon, the service advisor said she had no information on the status of my vehicle because "the technician had not yet told her anything". We went back home and I was getting ready to call again around 2:45 when the service advisor called to tell me that they had not yet started on my vehicle and she didn't know when they would. I told her not to bother at this point and that I would come pick up my vehicle and take it elsewhere for service. In response to my reminder that I had had a 9:00 A.M. appointment, she told me that my "appointment" was not an agreed time to have my vehicle worked on, it was just an agreed time to meet with the service advisor! She tried to liken it to a doctor's appointment, claiming that an appointment time with your doctor is actually just an appointment to meet with the receptionist! More
