I was offered a much appreciated loner vehicle by Mark Miller Subaru because my car needed to be kept at the service dept. overnight, until they received the necessary repair parts the next day. Service Advisor Kevin Chistens introduced me to Jeff ?? the service manager who answered all my questions regarding this repair. Because of the low miles on my vehicle, Kevin contacted Subaru of America to find out if there would be any cost coverage of this repair by Subaru. I was very appreciative that Kevin made the call and that Subaru of America did cover the majority of the cost for the repair. However it is my belief that because Subaru of America was aware of the faulty condition/parts in even a limited quantity of this particular model year; the cost should have been covered 100% by either a service bulletin warranty or by a voluntary recall notice.
