Very happy with the entire experience. Salesman Kyle was great and very patient with us while we were being indecisive. He was very knowledgeable and not pushy as many salesmen can be. Best experience with a sales representative I've ever had. He's the kind of employee you don't want to lose. Very impressed. More

Before I even arrived, I was pressured to sign the deal immediately because I was told that if I didn’t sign that day, I would lose the interest rate I was being offered. The finance department then called me to complete paperwork over the phone and repeatedly pressured me into purchasing a warranty AFTER I SAID NO MULTIPLE TIMES. I was literally told, “Honey, you need it. Something’s gonna go wrong and you’re gonna need the warranty.” I bought the car Friday and told Rose I was coming Monday. I drove nearly four hours again, repeatedly tried contacting her, and when I arrived, SHE WASN’T EVEN THERE. Her phone went straight to voicemail, my texts weren’t going through, and the dealership basically had no idea who I was or what was happening with my transaction. The employee who helped me seemed completely clueless and had to repeatedly leave for 10+ minutes to ask someone else what was going on. While I was standing there trying to figure out a major purchase, she also received a call from someone saved in her phone as “Big Daddy.” Maybe that’s her personal business, but it certainly didn’t make the situation feel very professional. The worst part was the condition of the vehicle. I was pushed through paperwork and had to put down my money before I had properly inspected or driven the car. Once I finally got to inspect it, I discovered a huge scratch on the front right bumper, ALL FOUR SCRATCHED RIMS, and BALD TIRES. I had specifically been told that anything wrong with the vehicle would be taken care of before I purchased it. It wasn’t. The vehicle wasn’t even in the condition shown in the pictures or described to me. After driving nearly four hours, wasting gas, putting miles on my boyfriend’s truck, and giving up my ONLY DAY OFF, I asked them to either fix the issues or rework the deal. Instead, the manager’s solution was essentially, “Let’s just back out of the deal,” and he walked away. He barely acknowledged me and was literally looking around trying to find the scratch while it was right in front of him. Another sales manager then talked down to me because I’m 19. I had to tell him, “I may be young, but I’m still an adult buying a car. That does not give you the right to treat me like I’m stupid.” My mother ultimately had to call the dealership because apparently nobody could communicate with me about MY OWN PURCHASE. And it gets worse. After everything, I went to Joe Holland Chevrolet, where I was informed there had been an issue with how Mark Porter had handled/submitted my credit application. I was told my credit had already been approved, but because of an issue with the application, I was asked to verify another source of income. I also discovered that FIVE HARD CREDIT INQUIRIES had been made during this process. I went into this with excellent credit and came out with my credit negatively impacted and dropped from excellent to good. So after weeks of communication, a nearly four-hour drive, pressure to sign, pressure to buy a warranty, a vehicle that was not represented accurately, bald tires, scratched rims, bumper damage, terrible communication, disrespect from management, and five hard credit inquiries, I have absolutely no reason to ever do business with this dealership again. I ended up buying a brand-new vehicle from Joe Holland Chevrolet, and the experience was NIGHT AND DAY. Their staff was professional, respectful, transparent, and actually treated me like a customer. Mark Porter Chevrolet has lost my business, my trust, and my recommendation. If you’re considering buying a used vehicle from them, INSPECT EVERY SINGLE INCH BEFORE SIGNING ANYTHING. Don’t trust the pictures. Don’t assume anything has been fixed. And pay extremely close attention to what they do with your financing and credit application. More

The initial salesperson was very nice. She moved on to everything and was very friendly. Then my trade-in value came up. They offered me a very low trade-in offer. I knew it was low as She moved on to everything and was very friendly. Then my trade-in value came up. They offered me a very low trade-in offer. I knew it was low as I did my homework before visiting the dealership. I informed the salesperson that her boss's offer was very low. She went back and said he is not moving on it. I also confirmed with 2 other dealerships that the offer made was about 50% too low. Also, they did move on the price. If you decide to go in, make sure to do your homework. More

She took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. Amy in finance was also wonderful! I’m so grateful for their support and would highly recommend this dealership to anyone, especially first-time buyers. More
