Just to be clear, I have purchased 5 vehicles from Mathews Nissan and all from the same salesperson. My salesperson is a stand up guy and I believe to have no fault in the issue I currently have with Mathews Nissan and all from the same salesperson. My 4 other purchases were of newer cars from from new car dealership, not the used dealership they now have. A couple of months ago my daily driven cars had to be sent to the repair shop for extensive repairs so I needed a cheap used car to get me by until it was done. I went to Mathews and spoke to my normal salesperson. He showed me a couple of cars that were in the price range I was looking for. I test drove VW New Beetle down the street and back and it seemed fine. I purchased it and had my wife pick it up the next day. On her way home she called me and told me that something was wrong with the transmission. I got in it and drove it the next day. Sure enough the transmission felt like it was slipping after driving it for around 20 minutes. That was a Sunday, 3 days after the purchase of the vehicle. I called my salesman and told him this car was a piece of junk. He told me to come in and see what we could do about it. I did some research on the vehicle to see if it was maybe something minor or something I could fix myself. After a few weeks of research and talking to the VW dealer in Nasvhville, it was deemed that the car needed a new transmission. $3,000 repair bill on a $6,000 car. Definitely not something I was interested in pursuing. I went to Mathews Nissan and the only thing the sales manager offered me as a fix to the issue is trading it for a different car, at trade in value of course. Overall I am very disappointed that Mathews Nissan is knowingly selling cars that are not mechanically sound and that their best offer to date has to been have it repaired at dealer cost. Still a multi-thousand dollar repair on a $6,000 car that was broken when they sold it to me. Sure, the sign says "Sold as is" but I've bought over 20 cars in my life and have never been to a dealer that sold me a broken car. More
I was shopping for a Nissan Versa or Versa Note. The salesman showed me several new 2013 Versa's, which were a great deal. However, he didn't have the color and accessory package I wanted. I asked if he could have what I wanted brought from another dealership. He said he looked online and found that there were none available within 500 miles. Then he tried to push me into buying a new 2014 Versa Note. Later that same day, I found 6 new 2012 Versa's at a Nashville dealer. Clearly he was lying to make a sale. More
Awful! Do not go here!! Spent $35,000 on a car and then was treated awful a month later. An employee quoted me wrong information, then managers calls me a liar and started insulting me and calling me names was treated awful a month later. I went down to buy a new car but ended up getting a great 2011 Maxima. All the staff I worked with not only Darryl was knowledgable and friendly. Everything about my experience @ Mathews Nissan Suzuki, was wonderful! I had 2 salespeople (Courtney & Darryl). They were very patient & made all of my concerns, important to them. They made sure my new Rogue was washed & filled with gas before I left. The sales manager (Derek Davis) worked with me, to find the payment that I could afford & made sure I received EVERY rebate, discount, & incentive that was available to me. He also made sure I received top dollar for my trade! The finance lady (Cheryl Poff), was such a sweet, caring, & thorough person. She explained every warranty & insurance option available. She took time for all of my questions & went above & beyond to make me feel like she cared about me making the right decision & not just trying to sell me something! This by far, was my best experience in purchasing a vehicle! This company & customers are very lucky to have such wonderful employees working for them! More
