We Loved going into Matthews Motors best decision I have made. We went to I don't know how many places and They were either trying to give us a car we did not want or the prices was out of our price range w made. When Chris and I went in there we were just seeing what the card that was sent in the Mail was about little did we know we would be driving off in a new car. We called first and Shawn told us to come in and see what they had so about a week later we did. When we got there everybody was friendly Shawn remembered exactly who I was. He gave my kids balloons and everyone was very nice to them. Shawn got our information and started seeing what our options were. He was straight forward and polite which was great because we were tired of the run around. So he showed us a car I test drove it and Loved it so he passed the info off to the manager David and he started working on it to. I had to go to work so I let Shawn know next thing you know Tim and Marty chipped in to help also. We didn't feel rushed and what we wanted mattered. They helped us find the right insurance and everything. Tim explained everything dealing with our paperwork that we signed. Now I have a nice reliable car and we are so excited because we are first time buyers. :) I will definitely get another car from them and refer others to go. This was the best car buying experience we have ever had. Mike greeted us quickly and did not pressure us, and came back with a no nonsense, no haggle price. Dave was able to exceed our expectations on what we wanted our terms to be, and Tim had all the paperwork together, and we were done and driving our new Mini Cooper in just a coupe of hours. All the employees were laid back and friendly. And they even offered us some of the barbecue that they had brought in for lunch. My experience with all the guys in Goldsboro was AMAZING! Everything I wanted happened and happened fast. The car I wanted, at the price I wanted, and a great deal for my trade-in. WHOW!!! is all I can say....They said I would ride away and in a little less than 2 hours I was on the road. Couldn't believe it, my credit wasn't the greatest and my trade-in wasn't going to make it much and in a little less than 2 hours I was on the road. Couldn't believe it, my credit wasn't the greatest and my trade-in wasn't going to make it much longer. They gave me a fair price on my car and in no time the deal was finalized. I got into a nearly brand new car with the factory warranty still intact with a lower payment than I walked in on with my trade. They even rewashed the car which was spotless already and answered any question or request. I had a sub woffer/and amp in my old car and they are going to remove it for me at no charge. If you're looking for a great experience at the "ole dreaded car dealership" this will change your life. I'm one happy customer and will be recommending it to all my friends. Marty, Tim, and Dave kept things moving and not only was I treated as the most important person on the lot but everyone was made to feel welcome and like family. I contacted Matthews Motors late on a Saturday evening to inquire about a vehicle I had just found on their website. I expected to get the voicemail since it was after hours, but to my surprise they answered inquire about a vehicle I had just found on their website. I expected to get the voicemail since it was after hours, but to my surprise they answered the phone. I spoke with Dave Klaiber who was with a customer at the time, but he assured me that he'd have Mike Kerns call me right back. I did not expect a return call from Mike since it was after hours...I figured he'd call me back on Monday. I was again surprised because Mike called me back immediately. Mike was very patient and answered all my questions regarding the vehicle I was inquiring about. On Monday morning I received a call from Dave Klaiber asking if I had further questions. Dave was very professional and answered the additional questions I had and also discussed with me financing alternatives based upon my credit situation. Later that afternoon, I decided to submit an application. Dave stated that he would work on my loan and call me back shortly. Given my past experiences over the years with other dealers after submitting an application, I did not expect to hear back from Dave the same day. Dave called me back in a little over an hour and told me I was approved! My experience with Matthews Motors was exceptional...they really care about their customers! They actually made the car buying experience from start to finish the way it should be! Thanks Matthews Motors!!! More

My husband and I purchased our vehicle on may 14,2013. I was browsing the internet for a used vehicle that would be in our price range and still be big enough for a family of 6. I had seen the Chevy Suburba was browsing the internet for a used vehicle that would be in our price range and still be big enough for a family of 6. I had seen the Chevy Suburban on the clayton website and decided that it was the vehicle I wanted. My husband and I went in to matthews motors in goldsboro and told Mike the vehicle that we were interested in and that we already had preapproval. Dave jumped right on the financing, getting us a better rate just as promised, and giving more for my trade in than any other dealer in town had offered. They drove the suburban right over from the clayton dealer, and I was in the new vehicle that same day. I love them! You can just tell that they are a different kind of dealer, you are treated like a customer and not a commission. Dave and the whole group has gone above and beyond to make sure that I am happy with the vehicle I have choosen. I can not say too many good things about them, They are an awesome group of folks! I came to the dealership to look at a Saturn Vue that I had seen online. I already had arranged financing and was just looking to see if the vehicle fit my needs. The staff did not pressure me, allowing me to test drive the vehicle. When Dave, the store manager, told me he could get me a better deal than I had, I thought he was just being a typical salesman. He asked for just five minutes to beat it and true to his word, he did just that. Not only did he get me a better rate, I was able to save even more on the price of the car. I recommend Matthews Motors and will be going back for my next car purchase. More
