Service dept fail My air conditioning was doing a “fair” job of cooling but I knew there was probably a leak. The service tech confirmed the leak in the service port. W My air conditioning was doing a “fair” job of cooling but I knew there was probably a leak. The service tech confirmed the leak in the service port. When I requested a price to repair, I was told the whole section of the connector line would have to be replaced, not just the service port. I was told the repair charge would be almost $400. I decided to take my car to the Chevy dealer who said the service port could be replaced. Cost: under $50. So, for the $99 to charge the system, the air was not even cooling after I drove about 4 miles. Bottom line: it was doing better when I arrived than it was when I left. More
