This is my 2nd visit in 5 months. Service is professional yet friendly and follow through always perfect. Use of my long term warranty for repairs and authorization was requested by service department, received and quickly conveyed to customer. Open 12 hrs to turn in or pick up vehicle is so helpful. Again, a loaner vehicle provided and utilized and used for 5 day period. The staff are pleasant to speak with and they clearly work well with each other. What’s not to like? I’ll return again and again. More
As an older fellow, I have bought an embarrassing number of new and used cars over the years. Attempting to buy a late model used car at Escondido Mazda was certainly not the worst experience I have had, bu of new and used cars over the years. Attempting to buy a late model used car at Escondido Mazda was certainly not the worst experience I have had, but it does rank among the goofiest in recent years. I know, it’s a little silly to complain about poor behavior of car sales people, it’s a lot like getting mad at the cat for eating birds. Although happily, it has been getting better in recent years with so much more competition online and gobs of information readily available for the buyer. Sadly, Misha and Michael at Escondido Mazda didn’t get the memo. They were not competently wicked, but they did roll out all the tired gimmicks from the obnoxious old days. Fibbing with gusto, insisting on a $1500 “bonus” above the posted price to compensate for the little plastic appliques under the door handles ($16.99 on Amazon) and a long list of other patience testing silliness. I suppose they deserve high marks for perseverance, but they ultimately lost the sale when their approach finally morphed from oddly entertaining to just tiresome. And so, I do not recommend considering buying a car from these comical relics of bygone days. Life really is too short, and there are just too many better alternatives in today’s car market.
