Bait and switch I verified with MCCARTHY HYUNDAI in OLATHE, KS., that we were on the same page numerous times as far as price and financing terms the day I was to buy I verified with MCCARTHY HYUNDAI in OLATHE, KS., that we were on the same page numerous times as far as price and financing terms the day I was to buy the car. My mom was assisting me and listened to my numerous conversations with them. This was my first car to purchase on my own. My salesman, Adam, was a new employee, but was working diligently to help me, while dealing with your typical untrustworthy car salesmen (his sales/business managers). The paperwork I signed with him went well. THEN, I went to the "finance" department. There, per the finance man, a "small hiccup" had come into my car buying process. I was told I would need a co-signer. That is not a "small hiccup". I had discussed being on the same page with them three times that very day. The finance person said he'd only known about the need for a co-signer for a few hours. Why didn't McCarthy call me and go over this? This is a bait and switch! My mom was with me, they expected her to co-sign, so we walked out! More
