Thank you for your recent review of McCarthy-Morse Chevrolet. I'm truly sorry that your experience with us was not a positive one and it pains me that we were not able to rectify this situation for you. In regards to your vehicle purchase. You are not happy that we repaired the rear bumper of your vehicle even though that was one of the options you gave us when you signed the Delivery Confirmation as the time of purchase. I understand that you said you were told verbally by your salesperson that we would replace the rear bumper, but when we our body shop inspected the damage, it was found that replacement would be overkill and simply repairing the problem would be best, which we did and seeing as you signed the paperwork making a repair an option, we did follow through on that for you. I will remind you again, you have a lifetime warranty on those repairs. Should you ever have an issue with them, please let our body shop know so that they may fix them at no cost to you. In regards to your service appointment, again I apologize if you feel that the battery issue should have been discovered earlier, but as I tried to explain to you, the battery in your vehicle is enclosed in a box and hidden from view. The multi-point inspection does not consist of taking anything apart on a vehicle to inspect it. The battery is tested using the positive and negative terminals located on the outside of the box in the engine compartment. If this test finds any abnormality, then it is immediately brought to the customers attention for permission to begin a full diagnostic to determine the root of the issue. As there were never any indications of a problem during your previous inspections, there was no reason to charge you more money to perform a diagnostic. When the part failed, then we were able to diagnose the issue and offer a repair option to take care of the problem. We don't want our customers to have a negative experience when they visit us. We've been in business for over 85 years and a big part of that milestone is treating our customers right the first and every time. It pains me that we weren't able to resolve this amicably. I do not agree with the statement of me giving you the option of repairing the bumper when I do not have in my possession the paperwork you describe that indicating said option. In response to the battery I was told that the items was visually inspected. As mentioned the type of damage that occurred would have happened over a period of time that would have been noted by your service department if inspections had been performed as promised.
