I bought a car in august of 2008. they couldnt get financing on the car for almost a month. soon enough the rear tires went bald. i went to get it checked out and the had 11" wide tires on the left s financing on the car for almost a month. soon enough the rear tires went bald. i went to get it checked out and the had 11" wide tires on the left side and 10" on the right side. on top of that they had put tires that werent wide enough for the rims (really unsafe and illegal) we contacted them and they sent us a check for new tires. of course this would only cover the cost of what they would pay for tires (way cheaper than the normal comsumer) i got 2 tires and purchased 4 new rims to replace the odd sized ones (out of my pocket). 500 miles later the inside of the rear tires are now bald. we take it to a certified ford dealer and they cant even align the car! so we contact mcCloskey motors and they say to get it checked at a body repair shop. we do. the cross member, lower control arm, and rear axel housing are all bent. not to mention the replacement body panel on the left rear which had orange peel feel to the paint when we bought it. but they assured us "it has never been wrecked." bullshit. now we are trying to resolve this issue. unfortunately, i am 18, then 17 when i bought it, and have invested around 2000 dollars in parts and performance. i will never see the money. and we have been resolving this issue for 4 months and the entire p.o.s. that they sold us for about 7 months now. mccloskeys is now trying to say we wrecked the car and we had an aquintance or someone we know look at the car and determine the damage. hey mccloskeys-take responsibility for your mistakes, suck it up and shut the hell up! thanks mccloskeys for screwing over a kid. never buy from these frauds, besides im not the only one that has been screwed by this dealership. piss the right fucking off mccloskey's! MILTARY and RETIREES BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MCCloskey Motors is a dealership that will stick it to you. Not only did the customer service suck, but three weeks ater driving a vehicle that they put me in Motors is a dealership that will stick it to you. Not only did the customer service suck, but three weeks ater driving a vehicle that they put me in, I was contacted about a down payment! Yes, three weeks later. Never mind that I had been in the dealership, say two times...no mentioning, and never mind I had the vehicle serviced there (gas cap)...no mentioning! Somehow, after I "got approved" for my loan, the loan didn't go through? And after the harassing phone calls, people coming by my home etc, I looked over the fine print, and low and behold, they WERE requesting a down payment! Now, riddle me this Ghost Rider..What dealership EVER lets a consumer leave the lot without paying them a negotiated down payment? Hmmm. But these crooks, somehow, approved me for the loan, had me sign paperwork with the sleezy finance officer, drive the car for weeks, THEN come after me for a down payment. And it wouldn't have been an issue had someone called and said that they flubbed up. I would have graciously given them the requested amount. But they wanna call ME acting like I did THEM some disservice? Negative...I was happy to give them the car back and told them to "Kiss My Grits!" while I was at it... More
These people are liars and cheats. They will try to go around the law, I spent three months and close to a thousand dollars to get the vehicle LEGAL. I am in the process of taking further legal action ag around the law, I spent three months and close to a thousand dollars to get the vehicle LEGAL. I am in the process of taking further legal action against McCloskey motors. Avoid this dealership at all costs. This many negative reviews enforces my point, they need to the their license revoked. McCloskey motors sold us a car that had been in a severe auto accident and they did not disclose this to us at the time of the sale. Not only did they not disclose it, they lied and said it had not been in auto accident and they did not disclose this to us at the time of the sale. Not only did they not disclose it, they lied and said it had not been in an accident when we asked about it. This is a violation of Colorado law and we made them aware of this. Unfortunately we found out about the accident almost a year after we purchased the car but that didn’t stop us. We contacted the dealership and we dealt with the General Manager, Jeremy, whom I must say is not very professional, at all! During our discussion he put his hand in my face as an attempt to tell me to stop talking. This is not to mention the fact he thought it was appropriate to yell at us although we were the victims in the situation. Be careful with the arbitration agreements that car dealerships try to make you sign. This technically gives up your right to sue the dealership or take them to court. Justice can still be reached between the two parties but it is done through an arbitrator. We did not have to get to this point because we were very prepared and did our research. The laws state that what they did was wrong. If a car has been in a severe auto accident, it must be disclosed whether you ask or not! This dealership failed significantly in their attempt to scam us and I am proud to say that we won this one. I hope this never happens to anyone else but all of the information is out there for you to find so if something like this does happens to you make sure to do your research. We had no legal help but our hard work paid off. Moral of this story: DO NOT BUY FROM MCCLOSKEY MOTORS, well unless you want to be scammed! This is only a fraction of the entire story and their unaccommodating services but I think this is enough to avoid the dealership for good. More
Like the saying say "third time is a charm" Well not quite. I recently purchased my third vehicle from McCloskey Motors and I was delighted because I have dealt with them previously also because of the quite. I recently purchased my third vehicle from McCloskey Motors and I was delighted because I have dealt with them previously also because of the type of vehicle I bought a 2004 Lincoln Navigator with only 55000 miles. I purchased this vehicle on August 30, 2008. Price was reasonable,I love this vehicle, only problem I had at that time was that I did not get my manufacture floor mats my salesman DJ told me I would received. Today is Dec 11,2008 and I have a big problem because my Navigator that I love so much has been at McCloskey's repair shop since Dec 1,2008. It's been a little over three months now I have this vehicle and now discover there is a huge problem which is being worked on as of this moment. I kept hearing a loud noise, sounded like a had a flat tire, checked to see but that was not it. On Dec 1st I was driving home on hwy 25 and the noise was even louder, tried to exit hwy but the car start losing speed was trying to stall in the middle of the road, I finally pulled over safely and had my vehicle towed. I was told that the front differential had came apart. Checked with a few local mechanics and they told me that "this is not suppose to happen in Lincoln Navigator and I'm very fortunate to have my life" Mike the service mgr has been outstanding is getting my vehicle repair but there has been some set back because the wrong part was ordered so it delayed the repair process plus an adjuster had to visit the location so see what had occurred. Matt Cisneros however was not very helpful. I'm a single mother, I went to him and informed him of the issues I was having and requested another vehicle until the work on my vehicle was completed, this was 2 days after my vehicle arrived at the shop and he showed NO sympathy, in fact I was so disappointed I left the dealership in tears. Well I never thought 11 days later I will be out of a vehicle but that's the case. So much is going on, I did purchase the extended warranty thank God but I'm having to fight with the company to cover the rental expense which will be about 14-15 days, I still have to pay car payment, insurance, the deductible and I've already paid $250 for rental which should be reimburse soon. My total for transportation alone this month will be around $1000.00 More
10/25/08 went to meet my husband to look at some vehicles. mind you i had just spent several hours at the dealership about a month ago. My husband and i have bought 3 cars previously from Mccklosky. vehicles. mind you i had just spent several hours at the dealership about a month ago. My husband and i have bought 3 cars previously from Mccklosky. From the moment we walked in the door some guy pulled out a book and started the scam. the deal where you pay 300.00 a month for 2 years for 7200.00 and 21% interest. they had the nerve to show us a raggedy car with 100,000 miles and seem to get flustered and suprised when we didn't even want to waste our time anymore with them. We will not discuss the treatment given with the last purchase. Anyway with the oprevious purchase i dealt with almost everyone iun the building and this time not one of them acknowledged us as a customer which really says something abot your customer service policies. If i have to walk i will never deal with your dealership again. And remember word of mouth will move in this town pretty fast. People work hard for their money and i think it is really a shame that Mr&Mrs. MCcklosky are making commercials as if they care about their customers. More
Where do I begin. First of all the person we had a scheduled meeting with was not even there when we got there. They had sent him to Pueblo to do something else. Then we get another guy who was suppos scheduled meeting with was not even there when we got there. They had sent him to Pueblo to do something else. Then we get another guy who was supposed to be our original salesperson's partner and he said he would help us. NOT! He then handed us off to another guy that got all our information and showed us a couple vehicles. After we saw the last vehicle, we were then handed off to yet another salesperson! After about 2 hours we had spoken with one of the sales managers and he told us that he had gotten us approved and we were set to go. We singed papers but were unable to give the $1500 upfront. We set a promise to pay date 7 days after the initial purchase and were good to go. We drove out of there thinking everything was fine. WRONG AGAIN!!! 1 month later we get a phone call telling us that they were UNABLE TO SECURE FINANCING and we had to bring the vehicle back in or we'd have to give an additional $2500! We were not able to give the $2500 so we decided to take the vehicle back. Now during our initial conversation we were told that upot returning the vehicle we would receive the $1500 back. YET ANOTHER LIE!! We were charge $50 and $.50 per mile for every day we used the vehicle. Since they waited an ENTIRE MONTH before calling to let us know they couldn't get the financing, we ended up losing the $1500 and having to pay them and additional $500!!! My advice to anyone dealing with these people is to make sure your financing is secured before you leave the dealership. More

First off, I filled out a 10% discount coupon on the website, bigjoeauto. It did not say that after you left you name and phone number, that you would get a flood of calls from these people even though website, bigjoeauto. It did not say that after you left you name and phone number, that you would get a flood of calls from these people even though after the first time thaey called you asked them not to call again. This one female called everyday for a week. I wanted to see the car I was interested in at the Academy Blvd. dealership. I pulled into the parking lot, stepped out of my car had one foot out car door and I was attacked by the vultures. These people would not leave me alone. I will never... ever go back again. I wanted to write this to warn everyone... STAY AWAY! Don't let those stupid TV spots fool you. These people are in it for one thing. I'm going to Phil Long! More
