I purchased a Nissan Frontier for a very reasonable price and paid cash. I drove the truck home and parked it that evening about 2 miles. Next day took my wife to the Dr and on the way home check engine light came on. I checked the codes and it showed the catalytic converters were setting the codes and needed to be replaced. I called my salesman MO and told him what happened and that I was going to reset them and make sure it wasn't just a fluke. I drove it for a few more days and day 6 light came on again. I took the truck back and talked to the pre owned manager Eddie and explained the issue. Eddie without hesitation said let me see if I have something I can trade you into and if not I will give you a check for all your money back including taxes and fees. I thought that was great for him to just step up and make it right without any hassle. He found another truck which was a little more expensive but newer and still a good deal. He gave me all my money back as a trade for the other truck and so far it has worked out good. Thanks to Mo and Eddie for the way you handled what could have been a bad situation and turned into a very positive experience! More

However, when i has driving the truck home the check engine light came on. i called Jose Q and let him know about the issue and he told me to come back in and they (service) would take care of it. The service department was a joke - they told me that the computer just needed to be updated and deleted the P0401 Code. Since they did not fix the P0401 Code the check engine light came on again on my way home. i should have know better than to go back to McDavid Ford Service because the time before when i purchased a car from them it took them longer to change the oil in our car then it did for me to buy a car from them. Jose Q thank you for the sales experience but my check engine light is still on! McDavid Ford responded publicly on 12/31/19 12:15 PM Mr. Rothe, thank you for making us aware of your check engine light. We would be happy to take a look at this and resolve it for you. Feel free to call me to get this scheduled for you. Thank you. Update 1/13/20: Brian F. took great care of my issues (thank you Brian). We took the opportunity to discuss our frustrations with the issues I was having with the truck I just purchased and he assured me that he would resolve the issue. Brian did just that not only was the repair covered under warrantee but he also provide me with a rental so that I would not be without. If others who are reading this have had a bad experience with the service at McDavid Ford please contact Brian and I assure you that he will get it resolved. More
How they ruined my credit history. This is how ""David McDavid Ford Fort Worth Dealer"" ruined my Credit profile and now i am paying very high interest on my car loan. read my story , be aware. They asked me to give the 5 Star review on my purchase, After everything they have done to my credit profile I don't even want to give the Single star rating. I went from San Antonio to Fort worth(4 hours ) to buy the Car, had discussion with dealer for 2 hours and then while singing up the document for credit check """ I Specifically told them only do the credit check one time(i request ford loan)""" because i know about my approval odds, but they ran credit check in 7 banks , when i got the notification on my credit karma app, i told them to stop otherwise they could have continued checking , god know how many, and at the end i got 7 hard enquirers on my profile now they will stay for 2 more years, when i asked why you guys ran these many check, sales person and manager came to me and said "banks are not approving on your profile" Here very very basic and common sense questions will come to any person mind , 1)when i already told them to run on one time , on bank, why they did this?? Because they didn't cared, clearly they don't care about customers Credit profiles, 2) And when the 1st or even 2nd bank rejected my profile. they should have stopped that check and should take my permission to go further checks, again they didn't care, I could have gone to another dealer but i will be having more hard enquirers and high interest rate offers. I wrote more than 20+ emails, called countless if times but nothing happened. I requested them to remove this checks on my profile, but they can do but they said No. More
Today I had the weirdest and most uncomfortable experience at a vehicle dealership. David McDavid. I went in to see about trading my F150 on a newer model. My salesperson who was great had a office experience at a vehicle dealership. David McDavid. I went in to see about trading my F150 on a newer model. My salesperson who was great had a office right beside the bigger area where I assume the floor manager or assistant sales manager sits. It’s the area where all the sales people go to talk while you sit and wait. I was in his office for awhile. .. the sales manager came in and threw a tangent about a wealthy customers car not being there. Where was it. Who had the file. Find the car. It’s in Arlington. Just reaming people. Then they call the dude who has the file. Put him on speaker phone and they are arguing with him on speaker phone. The Sales Manager tells the guy he has ten minutes to get there. He hates people who drop the ball. He should have been there already. Then that guy shows up and they get into it again. Dropping F bombs. For about fifteen minutes I sat there listening to F bombs and other descriptive words being tossed about. I got a really bad vibe and finally had to leave that office and go somewhere where I did not have to listen to it. My sales guy found me and I told him I think I will go elsewhere. Let him know what happened. I guess it was the assistant Sales Manager apologized to me and said He was sorry I had to hear all that. and my sales guy walked me to my truck and was very apologetic. I know the game when you buy a vehicle. You sit. Wait. Throw numbers around. Back and forth until you get a deal done. But this just left a total bad vibe about the place and how business is done. Weird day at David McDavid. This is the brief version of this. I was in that little office for over an hour and this went on almost the entire time I was there. I am not a millionaire or billionaire and know in the real world they are going to be taking care of. I am just an average guy looking to get another truck. The entire time I was there of 2 hours I sat in that office pretty much alone. There are other dealerships. Find another one. When negative business is handled like that in front of a customer it makes you wonder what’s really going on there. And the kicker is the truck I was trading in I bought there . It was not like this then. Give your money to people who deserve or at least act like they do. More

My initial sales person seemed nice enough on the phone and asked for photos of my car to be traded. It took about a day for all photos to be shareable so he and his appraiser could give me a quote. That quote took 5 days, several reminders from me, and an email to the General Manager to finally get a quote sent to me. The quote was laughable. I countered their offer but was declined, stating that what I was offered was the current value. I sent a screenshot of my vehicle's value from Kelly Blue Book and inquired about the discrepancy. It was rebutted by offering that they use NADA to value their vehicles. I looked up my vehicle on NADA (all other selections constant) and it actually showed a higher value on my car; exactly what I was asking for it! I sent an email to the General Manager with this feedback I experienced. I received a promo email from the dealer a day or so later about a special weekend sale happening that I unfortunately could not attend due to my work schedule, so I emailed the General Manager about it to see what could be worked out. I haven't heard anything back yet. Dion responded to this first review of mine on Cars.com and provided a phone number with an invitation to call him to discuss this review on 12/9. I called on 12/9 and 12/11, left contact information with other managers, and still haven't heard back from Dion. More

At the time of return, my vehicle was inspected by one of their new employees. The SUV was in perfect shape with no damage except for a broken mirror. A month later I received a bill from ford credit for 1500+ for damages to the SUV. First, it is apparent that The dealership stole the SD from the Explorer because until I received the message from them I had no knowledge that the SUV had an SD card or even the location of the SD. The SD has no value to me. Ford claims that the bumper was damaged. At the time of return, the SUV had no bumper damage. Furthermore, the report they sent to us does not show that damage either. The SUV was inspected 6 days after I returned it which makes it clear that it has been used and damaged by Ford employees. I emailed and called David McDavid Steve Mansell but I never heard back from him. I called corporate office and Maggie told me that She will notify Steve but I did not hear back from them. This is a rip off and I want these false charges to be removed. Watch out from this dealership. Extremely unprofessional. More
Bait and switch and lies lies, lies Got quote on a new 18 Raptor with 35 miles ($54.9k) that was supposedly on the way to the dealer & had an 'accident'. Your fine sales director tells m Got quote on a new 18 Raptor with 35 miles ($54.9k) that was supposedly on the way to the dealer & had an 'accident'. Your fine sales director tells me he had to fix it & charge me $1000 more 🤣. Transport companies are insured! Lies! Waste of time! I asked for the name of the transport company: no answer. I asked for photos of the damage: no answer. Also he says 5 times to me that he would sell it to the first person that expresses interest when it hits the dealership, even though my bank was ready to send the money over. 1. SELL CARS THAT ARE ACTUALLY AT THE DEALERSHIP AND DON'T BAIT AND SWITCH WITH VEHICLES AND PRICING. 2. IF A BUYER ASKS FOR A PURCHASE ORDER SEND A PURCHASE ORDER NOT A QUOTE THAT YOU DON'T HONOR. 3. DON'T LIE TO CUSTOMERS, THEY CAN SMELL YOUR BS FOR A MILE. Your employees so far behaved in all the ways why people hate buying cars! More
This dealership is terrible.. Their word means nothing and they do not look out for the customer. A manager also lied and made excuses instead of doing what is right and honorable. He could not admit a mi and they do not look out for the customer. A manager also lied and made excuses instead of doing what is right and honorable. He could not admit a mistake was made by their employee, so he wouldn’t have to honor sales persons promise. Bait and switch tactic and full of excuses instead of doing what’s right.
