Not your average car dealership! I had two trucks to trade in, so the deal was a little more complicated than most. However, Ford Truck Salesman Lynn Self took the time to follow me back to my place, and drive one of the trucks in for the appraisal. He worked hard to get me the deal I wanted on the truck I wanted, and then we ended up at dinner because I had forgotten and left two car titles 60 miles away! By the time Lynn followed me to my house to get the titles, it was way past suppertime, and he insisted on taking us to a nice dinner. What a great guy! I ended up with the truck I always wanted, I take full of gas, and I wonderful meal. It was a great experience from start to finish. The reason I drove 60 miles from home to buy a new vehicle is because 10 years ago I wandered into Texas Motors Ford, which was near my home at the time. I ended up buying a new F1 50 off the showroom floor. Lynn Self help me then, and over the past 10 years he's never failed to send me a birthday card, a Christmas card, and an occasional nice note on Facebook. My wife is a famous (but now retired) actress, Ruth Buzzi. She and I have gone from being his customers to considering Lynn a dear friend. He has earned our business through integrity, friendship, and always reminding us he's there to serve whenever we're ready to trade. More

Great Internet buying experience I requested an internet price quote, via the Texas Motors website, on a specific new car and received a live phone call from Jody Crawford within 10 m I requested an internet price quote, via the Texas Motors website, on a specific new car and received a live phone call from Jody Crawford within 10 minutes. Jody was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, friendly and I felt like I had a true advocate for the sales process. I made an offer and Jody took it her Manager and called me back in 5 minutes with a very reasonable counter offer. I agreed with the price and had effectively bought the car in less than a half hour. I placed a deposit, flew to DFW from Amarillo a couple of days later and picked up the car. Jody had all of the paperwork ready and pushed the paper thru finance because she knew I was driving back to Amarillo that same day. A funny thing happened with the delivery of the car... The car was slightly delayed (5 minutes max) in arriving for my inspection, because Jody said the detail job wasn't "perfect"... she had sent the car back to the detail shop to "have the tires shined" :-) . When the car came out it was absolutely perfect. Jody called the next day to make sure I made it back home OK and that all was OK with the car after the 300+ mile trip back home. I was ecstatic.... the car got 40 miles per gallon... I actually travelled from Fort Worth to Amarillo for $32.57 and that included a side trip to Keller, TX to visit my daughter's family. The best part of the deal was that I saved about $1300 on the exact same car. I really liked the feature where you can see the actual window sticker of a new car via the TexasMotorsFord website. That way I knew I was talking apples to apples versus other cars that I had looked at locally. I am amazed at how easy Jody and Texas Motors Ford made this buying experience.... More

Great dealer to work with! This was my first new vehicle purchase. I had visited a few other dealers in the area to do some comparison shopping and find out what type of truck w This was my first new vehicle purchase. I had visited a few other dealers in the area to do some comparison shopping and find out what type of truck would be best for our family. I had another dealership offer me a better price on the same truck, but didn't get a good vibe about him. I had some pretty direct questions that they kept dancing around. I decided to try TMF after talking to them over the phone. We were met by Michael Vargha in the lot while looking at some of the used trucks, it was a hour or so before closing and he stayed after to answer all our questions. With all the rebates they offered, it made more sense for us to by new. They were able to match the other dealers price and offer slightly more for our trade in, Carl Johnston was even able to beat our pre-approved financing that we had. All in all it was a great experience! I've had some past encounters with dealerships buying used cars and I was going in on the defensive. I quickly could see that this dealership ran differently. You can tell something about a place by the employees moral. Everyone I ran into seemed upbeat. All of my questions were answered with transparency. Definitely an overall pleasant experience. I will absolutely buy from them again for my future needs! More
