At Texas Motors Ford it is our goal to ensure that customers drive home happy and satisfied with their purchase experience; I apologize if you did not receive that positive experience that we strive for. When purchasing and selling pre-owned vehicles, we use Market Based Pricing that is specific to the area in which our dealership is located. Market Based Pricing is a pricing strategy designed to deliver the best price after first evaluating prices of similar vehicles available in our market place. With Market Based Pricing every pre-owned vehicle in our inventory is compared against similar vehicles in our market, and the prices of our vehicles are then automatically adjusted in order to give our customers the best price possible. Upon your initial visit, you are correct in saying that we would not negotiate the price of the particular vehicle in which you were interested in because the price we quoted was the Market Based Price- the lowest and best possible price. However, since Market Based Pricing is totally dependent on the prices of similar vehicles in our market, the prices of every pre-owned vehicle in our inventory will fluctuate. We don’t always know when a vehicle in our inventory will change in price due to the fact that our Market Based Pricing software updates/adjusts automatically. If the price of the vehicle you were interested in dropped after your initial visit, it is because our software changed it automatically as a result of our market.
